The rear lane change sensor is not working. Dealer tells me some very minor grazes on the bumper are to blame and the entire bumper assembly needs to be replaced. Surely a scratch on the bumper can’t affect the sensor?

I drove over a cone back in October 2024 and it cut the nox sensor wire harness and ground wire harness which runs next to it. The car still drove fine after without issue. It wasn't until I spliced the wires back together that the car will not crank or start. I replaced the battery and still nothing. I tested all the fuses and relays, all good. About one year ago my Passat would crank over but not start. Since then I’ve had the fuel filter, battery, crank sensor and additional warranty issues fixed. I’ve had it into specialized Volkswagen mechanics and the dealer ship in about 8 times total. No one can figure out why the car intermittently does not start because there is no fault reading. It has happened during warm and cold days, right after driving and when starting up the first of the day. And ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I have 2004 VW Passat gls 1.8L w turbo , my car is cranking but not starting we switched out the relay and did a new fuel pump , before it started not turning over we would have to start it by pressing the gas to get the engine to start now it won’t start at all we cleaned the MAF sensor with the cleaner we scanned the car and the codes popping up were for MAF , Lean bank and EVAP code there was a hose with a hole but we replaced that as well and car still won’t start

It burns a lot of gasoline and raises the idle speed.

My 2001 passat 1.9 tdi, struggles so much to start after sitting for more than 10 hour. It cranks but motor struggles so much to start. After starting, it runs fine. Pc diagnosis shows nothing. Even in dash, after runing car for too long temperature doesn't go past 60⁰C. I have changed temperature sensor twice but still nothing different. What could be the problem?

The car has no power, sometimes it runs great and sometimes it doesn't and sometimes it starts to run really well up to over 4000rpm and it seems to jerk... what's new: vacuum hoses, maf sensor, turbo, fuel pressure regulator, n75, lambda before the catalytic converter, fuel filter, spark plugs... I've been dealing with this for a year and I can't figure anything out

I changed my brake rotors and pads ever since then my car shows ABS lights, TPMS and Airbag lights on my dash. When i scanned with OBD scanner it shows rear right speed sensor fault so i changed it with a brand new one directly from VW and the lights are still on. Anyone have any clue on how to fix it? Fuel pumps, overheat and turn the car off after 15 minute driving , I find out that the fans are not working but the fuse is ok. The fans are OK also. I’m just guessing the temperature sensor is bad but I couldn’t find the location for test the connector

Had the check engine light come on a few times, the code is something to do with the coolant system. The temperature gauge doesn't like to register. Replaced the temp sensor, flushed the system, and checked for air pockets... nothing. The fuse was a little loose for the gauges, replaced it. Any ideas? Unsure if directly related, but the radiator housing unit is dual fan. I've been told that only one fan (as it is) would be spinning until i turn on the AC. Should both be spinning regardless, or is that not normal and potentially connected to the issue at hand?

The car is running very rough, idling at working rpm, does not matter hot ir cold. Stalls sometimes at traffic light. Oil found in the air intake. Pcv valve was replaced but did not solve the problem. Vaccum hose was found cracked, replaced, and it did run good for a while, but not for long. Then the plastic was found cracked at air intake, also replaced but still the same problem. Diagnostics are showing only the consequences of this problem but not the solution. It is burning lots of oil, needs to be reffiled every 150-200 KM so thats almost everyday. My next step would be removing lots of other hidden hoses (that requires lots of tearing down) for inspection, checking the sensors, wires, ground, fuses. Unless somebody had this problem and know what would be the solution.

Let's start from the beginning. Initially, I had problems starting the engine: shaking, misfiring, and unstable operation. The manual showed the fuel pressure in the system. First, I replaced the fuel injection pump, which helped for 3,000-4,000 mph. After that, it completely stopped starting. A quick study revealed that the in-tank pump wasn't working. I replaced the fuel injection pump. Then the same thing happened with the fuel injection pump. I replaced the fuel injection pump control unit. It worked for 1,000-2,000 mph. Now, when driving, there are misfires and low fuel pressure in the system. The fuel pressure sensor is damaged. Injectors can't fail like that. What should I do?

Turbo is always under pressure. It’s whistling since i remapped it. Its always working not just when i hit 2000 revs. Anyone know would it be the turbo sensor or what?

I got my codes read and pcm processor fault%2C boost preassure sensor and maf senor fault came up. Can anyone help with the pcm fault please
