The dpf light keeps coming on every few weeks, tried regeneration at 2000 rpm gear 3 and around 40 mph, still no joy!! Can anyone help!!!!

The engine stop working when the car is under 2000t also if I slow down will stop as well. When I speed up looks to be alright but sometimes is it goes on shocks. Did someone have this problem? Please help. Thank you

When cold my diesel be Passat starts I drive for 5mins turn off it won’t start without shaking or for at least 30seconds this becomes worse the hotter the engine , sometimes it will go to the get me home mode , when in a diagnosis machine there is no faults... could this be an electrical problem ?

After driving for approximately 250 miles on the Interstate the engine on my car wrould not turn off when pushing e start/stop button. I had to pull a fuse under the hood to stall the engine and then disconnect the battery to shut down all the fans and lights after parking in my garage. Now the dash lights say to put the gear selector in park when I sit in car with battery reconnected and the gear selector is in park. I can't move the selector our of the park position?

Have a 2012 VW Passat TDI SE with 194k miles on it. I just ran into another issue with it not wanting to start with the DPF light and flashing glow plug light only on while turning over the engine. When it does want to start after 5 or 6 tries, the lights go away. And sometimes it will start and then immediately die, or it will start and drive with no issues, or it will not start at all and just keep turning over. I am having trouble installing the heater core

I have a 2012 VW Passat TDi SE and I have had the ABS and ESP lights on sense I bought it back in March/April timeframe. Those lights have occasionally gone in and out, but for the most part have been on consistently. I recently found out that my speakers were not working because they were faulty and I replaced them with JBL 601C speakers I bought off a friend. And the speakers work great, but one thing I noticed sense I put those new speakers in is that my ABS and ESP lights are no longer on. The car is running very rough, idling at working rpm, does not matter hot ir cold. Stalls sometimes at traffic light. Oil found in the air intake. Pcv valve was replaced but did not solve the problem. Vaccum hose was found cracked, replaced, and it did run good for a while, but not for long. Then the plastic was found cracked at air intake, also replaced but still the same problem. Diagnostics are showing only the consequences of this problem but not the solution. It is burning lots of oil, needs to be reffiled every 150-200 KM so thats almost everyday. My next step would be removing lots of other hidden hoses (that requires lots of tearing down) for inspection, checking the sensors, wires, ground, fuses. Unless somebody had this problem and know what would be the solution.

How difficult is it to install front bumper lip with decent knowledge of auto mechanics trait. I service my own vehicles in my home garage man cave. $125.00 US to buy the bumper lip, mechanic astronomical price for installation, $1455.00 US so another $140.00 in taxes. It's a hard cast pvc type plastic with 42 screws and plug in driving lights. That's it.. Or is it? Any help please would make my wallet ecstatic!! Thank you.

Really cold out -35. Heard a bit of possibly belt noise. Drove about 20 miles. Fan didn't work until i hit the Max heat. Seemed to run ok. Stopped and shut engine off. Tried to start within 5 minutes, battery dead, all lights on dash flashing. Jumped with booster. Started. Would not go into any gear. Steering wouldn't work. Engine slowed and died with a thunk. Would not start again. After recharging battery disconnected from vehicle 13.25 volts. Hook to vehicle and it drops to 7.5 volts.

Hi my 2003 Passat is giving problems, yesterday it drove fine until I switched it off about then about 20 mins later it would not start ( it cranks) i put more diesel in it as it was almost empty and still won't start. I then cleaned the filter which had a lot of shit in it. Then I noticed the glow plug light is not coming on and the pump isn't making any noise and there is no diesel coming from the pipes. I presume the pump is goosed but since there is no glow plug light it may be the relay 109 which I can't find. Is there a shut off button in the car or is it just the relay or is it a different problem,, also my diagnostic machine is coming up as link error even though it worked last week

I was just driving along no lights came on just stalled and would start again came engine fault then on the diagnostics got theses codes 17675/17448 the car has been sat for a while over due a service is also a dsg gear box
