my car stereo problem was that sometimes turned on and sometimes don't, also sometimes that it turned on the volume was too high, in addition i was having problems with the A/C sometimes does not responded to the control buttons, then a good friend that has a shop repairing starters, alternators, rewiring and all electronics in vehicles told me that is very common problem that the connection in the rear of the stereo looses i only have to push it a little bit to "make better contact" and everything was fixed

Moaning noise 50-70mph pitch rises with speed

Honda Accord 2007 UK 2.4 EX saloon 119000 miles
Most noticeable on smooth road unrelated to engine speed or gear used. Louder than engine noise. Declutched engine idle and it's still there. Wheel bearings, UJ's, brakes, tyres all checked by Honda dealer just passed Mot. Differential? Its a mystery.

Excessive road noise

Honda Accord 2010 Sedan EX-L 160288 miles
Hey guys can someone help shed some light on my situation. When driving fast, slow, or even normal speed it sounds like my engine is in the passenger seat. When I first got the car last year I though it was because it was a v6 and it was just louder. Not the case then I though maybe it was a tires that were installed but a year later with the same tires and still has loud road noise in the cabin. I’ve done research and I’ve read it could be a number of things. But before I start buying parts I don’t need and waist time and money can someone tell me what to do if you know what I’m talking about… Read complete

Noise and vibration

Honda Accord 2006 Euro 174000 miles
Would love some help. So firstly my car is getting a loud internal noise when I'm driving it almost sounds like a jet engine about to take off. Now the vibration occurs between 70-80km/hr so thinking I may need to replace drive shafts as this is a common problem but the loud internal noise is bugging me most. I've thought of wheel bearings and wear of the tyres. I have a sports tyre on and do a lot of distance travel. They are only 12 months old still plenty of tread. Just had an alignment two months ago. Has anyone experienced this internal noise and would it be related to drive shaft?????

Pulling and Chewing my Tires SolvedSolved

Honda Accord 2015  77638 miles
Why are my tires getting chewed up?
Looks like based on all these posting am seeing the trend. Accords not driving straight despite the alignments. Going to have to buy another set of tires for my 2015 Sport. Multiple alignments, front cambers replaced. Took it in for another alignment because of same noise and pulling and sure enough they are damaged too...the rear tires now are being chewed up which means another set of tires... the reason I invested in an Accord was its reputation of being a solid vehicle...I guess, I was wrong. Well, guess what product line I won’t be purchasing next?

Update: I had to buy 2 more New Tires (6-12-2021) for the rear side for the same reason despite alignments...Thank you Honda. !!!

I asked a gentleman at costco last weekend who has the same model I do only a white color and he too said the very same problem with his Accord- Sport. I wonder how many more victims are out there.
Ftbird47 from United States 4 years ago
I have a 2013 Accord Sport and do not have the alignment problem. I replaced oem tires at 40,000 miles, with wear being even. After retirement, drove car about 3,000 miles per year, and replaced that set after rubber had severe dry rot from age, with pretty even wear. Had an alignment done after those new tires, with read out showing red on all four corners. So, how do you get even tire wear with alignment off that much? If tires start wearing uneven, I will pay the Honda dealership that did the alignment a visit. Too bad Honda designed Accord suspension with most components not adjustable.

2012 Honda Accord lx sound system

Honda Accord 2012 Sedan  88000 miles
Hello, I have a 2012 Honda Accord lx and my stereo has a issue with cutting out at random times with a thump noise while playing music and In order for the music to turn back on I have to restart my car and sometimes that takes a couple of restarts to get the radio working again. I’m not sure if I have a short in some wires or a bad stereo but I just want to fix it. If anyone had ran into the same issue with their car please get back to me and tell me what you did.

Jerry from United States 3 years ago
My 2004 4 cyl Accord LX started making the popping sound in stereo, then auto windows problem (up and down with no pressing button). Finally it shut down completely at a 4 way stop with wife driving. She coasted to the shoulder near neighbors home. Then neighbor couldn"t get the auto transmission stick to move into neutral or anywhere. We had him try the slot/screwdriver solution available in 2004s. This unlocks the transmission console allowing shifting into neutral. This was also during ice storm. The next day, I was able to jump it off. I took the car to a friends shop. This friend has 40 yrs plus experience and has owned 2 auto repair shops. He has a mechanical device designed to vibrate/shake a car [helpful for diagnosing shorts. etc.). He had to replace multiple bulbs {example tail lights}. He said the car was blowing bulbs, etc. one after another and bypassing the fuses and systems put into place to prevent this type of thing I live in the deep south with high humidity. The trunk seal allowed the trunk to flood. I'm afraid it's ruined even though the engine looks brand new and it barely has 100,000 miles.
We'd bought 2 new Accords from this dealership, the 04 being the second. Now new owner was extremely rude to my wife. The last time I had them work on the 04, I was having a front headlamp replaced along with a scheduled maintenance. Not knowing this maintenance included replacing cabin filter I'd bought one on the way home. I replaced it noting the dust bunnies, and dead yellowjackets, etc. I then checked the headlamp. They hadn't replaced it! Then, I saw they'd put a new cabin filter on the invoice, a vanity plate replacement (it's never had one), so by this time I was boiling. I took the car back in , held the nasty filter in the face of the Maintenance manager, explaining they'd written a new one on the invoice and sent me home with the nasty one. Showed him the filter receipt I'd bought and replaced. Then informed him they'd failed to replace what I took the car in for to begin with. The headlight. I watched through the window of the shop as he called a young mechanic over. After a few seconds this mechanic appeared to have his tail between his legs , shamefaced. The new irate Indian owner of this dealership told my wife he'd charge $250.00 to have it towed to the shop if it wasn't their fault. She'd explained the mechanics findings. I'm not proud of it, but I'm a very stubborn man. I rarely argue with anyone, but when I do, I don't have a "kill switch", so to speak. My wife and I are both disabled and are left with one 2003 truck. I've taken my wife to the ER 3 times. It's a matter of time before I won't be able to get to a hospital 2 miles away without calling an ambulance and paying the $800 plus bill that ensues after the 2 mile ambulance ride. Any suggestions. I believe I need a Corporate contact. I only hope they have kept the last service record online. Jerry , Canton, GA.

Check charge system

Honda Accord 2016 Sedan 161089 miles
About 3 weeks ago my car would randomly not start. The battery was only about 15 months into a 100 month warranty so I took it to Honda and had it replaced. Not long after that or right about the time I was jumping it off with jumpbox, it started make a racket ,which sounded like the handle that had fallen off the jump handle which fell down into front drivers side under hood and like it was clunking around in the fan. I took it to a supposedly great family-owned automotive shop The guy looked at it and listen to it and said it sounded like the bearings in the alternator were going out but I… Read complete

Check your ground connections. I have a 2006 v6 that had the same issues with not charging the battery even though the alternator and battery were replaced. The old alternator tested good so I unnecessarily threw away $270 bucks. The issue for me I eventually discovered, was the side engine mount bracket bolts had sheared and severed the ground connection. There’s a ground cable that bolts to the mount bracket. I replaced the bracket (the bolts were seized so I had to replace the whole thing) and problem solved.
Stickerpie from United States 2 years ago
It's definitely a process of elimination and a work in progress I'll let you know the outcome
Stickerpie from United States 2 years ago
They told me, the guy at the repair shop that put in the new alternator which was not putting out enough voltage and then in turn put in another alternator which is when I was getting the check charge system occasionally pop up on the dash said that that alternator was overcharging so I'm having a third alternator put in and we will see the outcome...
Tomato from United States 2 years ago
Sounds like you are chasing your tail. And the odds that you have two failed alternators is highly unlikely. At this point I’d be looking for an electrical repair specialist who can find the real issue. Most technicians will just keep throwing parts at the problem. Which obviously isn’t fixing it

Next day same shit i get out tap the top of the fuse box and it starts right up.... Which relay was it in the 2015?
Tomato from United States 2 years ago
@TrevThere should be a diagram under the fuse box cover that tells you what relays and fuses are where. Try switching the starter and or ignition switch relay with an identical one from another socket. If the starting issue goes away, then you know it’s a bad relay
Fefe from United States 2 years ago
Um, it's down on the right side of the battery. Underneath the light sockets

Problem Accord 2009 LX 2.4L

Honda Accord 2009 LX Sedan 2.4L 5A
My 2009 honda accord has a grinding noise that occurs when the ignition is activated from a cold start. The noise lasts for approximately two seconds and sounds like the timing belt system is ratcheting into place. This only occurs on a cold start, meaning the engine has not been running for 4 or more hours. I have had this problem for over a year. An internet search located honda service bulletin 09-010 dated 08/17/10 and then updated on 10/21/11. The safety bulletin describes the variable valve timing control (vtc) actuator as being, "defective". Additional internet search identified that th… Read complete

My 2008 Honda Accord is experencing the same cold start timing chain rattle. This is apparently a common occurance and needs to be addressed by Honda in the form of a recall. My Honda has been maticulously maintained since I bought it new. Just got to 100,000 miles. Disappointed in Georgia.
SoLongHonda from United States 5 years ago
Same issue. Just returned from the dealer to hear the engine is burning oil and my 2009 Honda Accord has only 43k miles on it. When the service writer came back and told me that the issue was the engine was burning oil I was shocked... How could that be? Turns out Honda never contacted me about a service bulletin and is aware of the issue and did anything proactive. Now I am scratching my head and will never buy another Honda. The Tech never mentioned anything and I always take my Honda to get the oil change under regular maintenance reminders... It seems Honda was hiding behind this issue. Never once did they tell me about this issue. Now when you start the car under a cold start you hear the rattle. Then they proceed to tell me its going too cost $6k to repair all the things under there service bulletin regarding this issue. This should have been a recall by Honda. I am going to reach out to the NHTSA to see what my options are.
