While driving my Honda Accord down the road. The accelerator accelerated on its own and brakes locked up was able to come to a complete stop due to using my emergency brake. Now when I crank the car the RPM stay at at 5. And gear shifter is locked.

Took my car to the dealer for an oil change and a new battery. I was told the battery did not fix my problem that it was my starter. This car is not even 3 years old. After looking on line this is clearly an issue with alot of Accords. Honda should be held responsible!!!!!!

I have 2013 and have the no start problem push the start button 3 or 4 times before it starts. How much did they charge for a new starter?

I bought the starter myself and my son put it in. The part alone was was between 200 & 250. Honda was going to charge me almost $800 total.

I'm having the same issues, the car won't start. Had the dealer check it, found nothing wrong. Still having the same problems and taking it back to the dealer. I've read too many complaints about the starter. If the dealer finds it's the starter I will take it to my mechanic, much cheaper.

Yes it should be a recall!! got my car fixed, my mechanic changed the starter and so far so good :)
I’m having the same issue with my 2013 Honda Accord as well. Dash light cluster comes on but will not engage the starter. Seems like this is a common problem. Car only has 18000 ( yes that’s 18 thousand ) miles
Same problem with my 2011 Accord LX. Starter went last August (2020); NOW this week the starter RELAY went - 3 of the 8 fuses blew, one of them being the ignition fuse, leaving me stranded. Could be caused by problem with the starter still...this definitely should have been a recall!!

I am driving between 20-30 mph. The power steering light comes and immediately loses power steering. I am a big guy and i have to use a lot of strength to move to the side of the road. I shut off car for a few minutes and restart car. The problem went away. This happened 3x time in the last month

In the morning, when it is cold, I put it in d4 and it remains neutral, then bounces and starts. Even more, it sometimes remains accelerated and when I stop, the gears change with some delay.

Anyone else experience the preset computer errors that oh so thoughtfully remind us that our vehicle is 10yrs old? My dash lit up like a Xmas tree, and I have a low battery code showing up (among others) for a battery that is only about a year old.

Since I got a reminder from SMC about the lack of attention on this post, I guess I'll let nobody know I wound up using my NOCO charger to juice up the battery. No issues since 🤷🏽♂️

Starts fine, idles fine around 1000rmp. Power drops to the engine and it seems to be locked in Limp Mode. There's a big list of things I've done below, but the comp is saying misfires in all 4 cylinders and it threw codes for the crank, coolant temp, and knock sensors, all of which are new and torqued to spec. Put em in yesterday. Codes and misfires continue. Grounding issue? If so, how do I troubleshoot that? It was a combination of the map sensor and the fuel injectors. Once I swapped thise it works again

After the vehicle has been parked for a while the transmission will not engage properly. It happens in both reverse and drive. When i put my foot on the accelerator the engine revs really high (4,000 to 5,000 rpm) but the car barely moves at all. The problem goes away after about 20 - 30 seconds even after shifting gears from reverse to drive. Try looking at the tires make sure they do not have bumps or flat spots because this can cause the car to pull.
When I turn the key to start my Honda Accord Sport 2014 it doesn't make a sound or start. I have to turn the key again 2 or 3 times to get it to start
My 2012 coupe chewed through tires in 20,000 miles. Not the first time. Alignment just doesn't last. I love the car otherwise.

Within 2 weeks of purchasing a new honda i experienced a 2 to 3 second hesitation problem when trying to accelerate from low speeds. The first time it happened i was on a green light turning left, so i had to yield to oncoming traffic. This is happening to my accord 2006 even my android multimedia screen goes off, i checked the fuse its working but in some part or movement the voltage goes low from the main cable from the fuse box under the hood check it, this might help.

2000 Honda accord vtec 4cylinder manual transmission. I have a clunking sound sometimes when turning, not always though, sometimes the clunking sound happens when I shift into gear when driving straight but will stop as soon as I put it back in neutral. The sound doesn't happen all the time, there is no pattern to it.

My accord was doing same thing, took it in 3 times before warranty was up and now tranny is completely shot and fighting with them to fix it...they keep changing mind why they won't. First no proof of report then I found the service records and now another excuse why they wont fix it. Probobleem started at under 40,000 kms.

Same issue here, the same 4 lights suddenly came on, and randomly they all go off and then come back on again. Have had problems with the alternator not charging the battery in the past, suspect this is the root cause of the warning lights.

This is 2015 brand new accord lx with cvt. The issues are:
1. The car has obvious side to side sway at speed 15 mph.
2. The car has big amplitude vibration at speed 25~35 mph. Especially on a downward slope.
3. The whole car is vibrating at high speed (>70 mph). My hands and legs felt numbed after driving 30 to 40 minutes on highway.
