Why doesn't my car brake well, the brakes are too soft. The car is a 2001 Volkswagen Passat.

How do I unstick the E Brake?

Ru s fine abs light just won'tever turn off I tried to disconnect the battery but that didn't work

Unable to push piston back with special tool

My abs, traction control, break and airbag come's on some days and some days they don't

Just before the car stops the brake pedal goes soft and there is a noise. The car has just had a front spring replaced.

Cruise control not working. Is it ABS sensor problem?

I have check all fuses thy fine But no lights on dashboard and can start. Yellow steering lock sing flushes on dash and dissapear
Fuses checked Battery 12.2v
I initial problem - button handbrake sweetch had problem

Have a 2012 VW Passat TDI SE with 194k miles on it. I just ran into another issue with it not wanting to start with the DPF light and flashing glow plug light only on while turning over the engine. When it does want to start after 5 or 6 tries, the lights go away. And sometimes it will start and then immediately die, or it will start and drive with no issues, or it will not start at all and just keep turning over. 2001 Passat B5.5 has a metallic rattling noise when I drive over bumps. The weird part is that it stops completely the moment I touch the brakes. I'm thinking it's the brake pads or the caliper clips, but has anyone else had this? What did you change to fix it?

I want to replace the front brake discs on my 2012 VW Passat B7, but I can’t find the torque specifications. Can anyone help me or tell me where I can look them up?

I changed my brake rotors and pads ever since then my car shows ABS lights, TPMS and Airbag lights on my dash. When i scanned with OBD scanner it shows rear right speed sensor fault so i changed it with a brand new one directly from VW and the lights are still on. Anyone have any clue on how to fix it? I have a 2012 VW Passat TDi SE and I have had the ABS and ESP lights on sense I bought it back in March/April timeframe. Those lights have occasionally gone in and out, but for the most part have been on consistently. I recently found out that my speakers were not working because they were faulty and I replaced them with JBL 601C speakers I bought off a friend. And the speakers work great, but one thing I noticed sense I put those new speakers in is that my ABS and ESP lights are no longer on. Had brakes etc done and it’s been parked for 3 weeks.

Sometimes when i am driving the car stops responding to the trottle but if i release the trottle the problem goes away. Sometimes i can drive for hours without the problem and sometimes the problem comes on all the time. At the same time my cruisecontrol is not working and i have two fault codes

01089 EVAP emission control system. incorrect, purge
01393 Cruise/brake switch (A) circ., Malfunction

Gaspedal already replaced after the problem appeared.

Engine starts up fine.starts up fine. Upon putting car in Drive and depressing the brake and accelerating the car takes an extremely long time to get up to speed and the RPMs are up there, when it auto shifts it shudders terribly. And when I de-ccelerate and come yo a stop it idles hard but shows that it's idling around 8k then drops and curs the engine off.

I recharged the AC but I don't think that will affect you much. I think I may have a clog somewhere. Help!!

Out of the blue, the car would not start the dashboard red brake failure service immediately. After that red airbag failure service immediately. Brakes are hard like they’ve been taking over. I have this VW Passat that will not shift gear when parked in the sun. Every morning, the gear will change normally and can drive more than 300km as long as the ignition is not switched off.
If the ignition is off and the car is parked for 15 mins and above in the sun, the car will not change gear again until the following morning. When it is working normally, no fault code will be displayed using OBD II machine but when the gear refuses to change from 1, the fault code will display ABS /Brake Control Module with VW 01316 as its code. I need help and it's urgent.
