My car has just been tuned but, with the heavy rains that have taken place recently, it started failing. The oil sensor turned on and the vehicle started to lose power. When this happened, I let the car cool down and the levels were alright, so I drove back home but, when I was just about to arrive, the tappets made a terrible sound and I have not moved the car since then. What should I do? Is it the oil pressure sensor? Or the pump? Or what else can it be?

If your car has many driven miles, I simply recommend you to change the oil sensor and pump, and your vehicle will be at its best.

Hello, I hope someone can help me with the many failures I've had and am still having with my Golf 93 gsl. It jerks as if it were about to break down and does not have much power; even though I might accelerate all out, it does not advance as it should. Even more, too many explotions can be heard, as if the fuel was about to be totally consumed or something similar. It also takes too long to start and even sometimes the battery unloads completely because of the many attempts to start the engine. Occasionally, the engine does not even start running, as if the battery was depleted. But, when direct current is provided with some wires, it does start and I can drive my car without inconvenients. What might the failure be? I really need your help.

Hi, it can be that there is some current leakage due to a short circuit, and that is why the battery unloads. You can as well check that the coil and ignition module are between the correct ranges and, in case you need to replace any of these, buy a Bosch. Check the MAF sensor and verify if there is some damaged wire. Check that the alternator is charging properly, and that the wires going from the spark plugs to the distributor are well connected. Hello, Vannie, first of all thank you very much for the time you spent reading and commenting. Apparently, the MAF sensor is not useful any longer so I am about to buy a new one, as it is not cheap at all. And talking about the short circuit, it was not this, but some worn contacts in the ignition switch. This was the reason why there was not the necessary electrical current to feed the battery and thus it sometimes started and others didn't. So now, I just have to buy this sensor I mentioned and change a spark plugs wire that is useless. Once I've bought the sensor, I would let you know what happened. Thank you very much.

If I start my car in morning it will off the first time, had to restart it again and hold the turtle. When I start moving it will not pick up immediately, it will be slow and jerking until i move a long distance and the engine is fully warmed.

Bosch Polocup ecu, car idles correctly, able to do adaption and drives well but when i check dtc's I often get 65535 Internal Control Module Memory Error so i bought another one and took it to the same guy who did original one and he loaded the same map. I installed the ecu i bought and when i started it, perfect, cold start revs slightly higher and drove it untill warm,idle slightly higher but ok. Next day drove car,all fine. Start car that night and car won't idle,dtc throttle position sensor. Put my other ecu back in and all is fine still. Any ideas why this happened?

Check Throttle Body retrain. ECU needs to synch with new / different throttle body. Can do this with VAG software.

Looking for guidance on a persistent issue with my 1.4 TSI that is causing fuel dilution in my engine oil and misfires.
Persistent High Pressure: ECU is commanding and holding ~140 bar at idle (Actual = Specified).
Fuel Dilution: Confirmed smell of petrol in engine oil.
Misfires: misfires at idle , but runs smooth at high RPM (more than 1200)/load.

i would check your control arm bushings. it doesnt have to do anything with your engine mounts.

I have a 2004 Volkswagen Golf 5 with an automatic transmission. When I stop at a red light or while waiting in traffic with the transmission in Drive and the brake pedal pressed, the car starts vibrating. In addition, every 3 to 4 seconds there is a stronger shake or jerk. This only happens when the car is stopped. When I start driving, the vibration disappears.
Spark plugs and one ignition coil have already been replaced, but the problem is still present. There is no warning light on the dashboard.
What could be the cause?

My car [1996 Golf MK3] recently started struggling to rev up/accelerate past 2000rpm,with the fuel pump already giving me revving/acceleration issues i have a feeling that i should just replace it?[Its an inline fuel pump]
It bogs at 2000rpm if i can get it to move, and if I'm lucky enough i can get it past 2000rpm if i feather the throttle.

Flushing spanner Singh appears on the dashboard on gear indicators and get stuck in gear two. The car will drive only in gear two and won't change gears but when you swith it off and start again the problem will disappear and comes back other times. When you stop also and drive off sometimes it shakes or hesitate before it goes but not every time. The changing of gears is not smooth also.

Dealer changed my 2014 golf tai manual at 105000 km Had problems with stop/start controls and engine light(picture of engine) and for 5-10 sec the car would stutter etc and the engine light would disappear On 3rd attempt fixed and car running great
Suddenly at 115000 km oil light came on and I but 1 litre of oil inn at 119000 km light came on again. Car has never even driven hard and can't understand why it would suddenly use oil no leaks and garage floor clean
