Many failures SolvedSolved

Volkswagen Golf 1994  210000 miles
Good morning, buddies. After being stopped at a traffic light, I start driving again and the car seems to choke a little bit. It is not a huge failure and it recovers quickly, but it worries me anyway. Even more, when the car is stopped, it trembles noticeably and it seems it is about to stall. Even the fuel consumption is higher than it used to be. Injectors have been cleaned and the car tuned.

You should check the coil and oxygen and temperature sensors, as these have to do with the fueling system. Some of them must be failing and that is why your vehicle is injecting more fuel than needed.

Transmission failure SolvedSolved

Volkswagen Golf 2006  121500 miles
Hello, I have a Volkswagen Golf gti 2.0. I was driving when suddenly the transmission stopped working and the check engine light turned on. The error codes were 0784 and 0829. I turned off the car, erased the codes, turned it on again and was able to drive home normally. What is it happening?

Suddenly stalled SolvedSolved

Volkswagen Golf 1999  200000 miles
Yesterday night, I was returning home when suddenly, when driving over a speed hump, the car stalled. I checked it and discovered there was no spark sent from the coil to the distributor. Today, it was hard to start the engine but finally did. Can it be that the coil overheated? Or what else can it be?

Hello, it might be that the vehicle is overheating. May be when you drived over the speed hump, some connection from the ignition system was moved, so I recommend you to check that all the connections and wires are alright. As your car overheated, exceeding the normal temperature, the sensor reported this to the computer and blocks the starting. It is logical that there is no spark then because it will only be present when the engine temperature is the right one. In the other case, like yours, the vehicle protects itself from exceeded parameters. So, you should check the temperature sensor because it might be failing or with a poor contact. Check as well the crankshaft and camshaft sensors, and finally verify if your coil is worn or failing. If you need to replace it, I suggest buying a Bosch one. Hope I can help you with my comment and if your car gets better, comment it as well on the forum so that we keep providing solutions. Good luck!

Acceleration failure and shivers SolvedSolved

Volkswagen Golf 2008  92674 miles
Once driving my car, I accelerate it and it does not respond properly and does not go over 1000rpm. When trying to speed it up, it does nothing and suddenly stalls. It also shivers and, when scanning it, the following failures were indicated: p441, p1542, p1171, p1426, p0108. Could you please help me?

The errors you mentioned have to do with the throttle body. Particularly, the code p0441 means that one of the oxygen sensors is damaged, but the rest are failures in the throttle body. Both the Volkswagen Skoda and Audi operate with computarized throttle bodies, which have a position sensor, which is the principal failure in your vehicle. Hope it helps you.

Starting problem

Volkswagen Golf 1996  185000 miles
My problem started three months ago when the engine started stalling suddenly, I was able to start it again but it would stall once more after a while. At that moment, I was told it was the coil that was having problems, so I bought the replacements which were not cheap at all, they were installed and the car started working perfectly. Perfectly until two days ago when, I parked the vehicle on the street to do some shopping and, when I returned, I started my car and it did but, when I was about to leave, it stalled and did not want to start again any more. I had to tow it home and I definitely thought it was the coil once again, so I bought it, installed it, but it won't start at all. What should I do? What might be another possible cause?
