I have very similar issue just started to occur with my 2018 Suzuki Swift. In for service 6 weeks ago, given all clear, brake pads almost new.

Just had garage look at issue & they tell me it is a plate on/around the brake pads coming a little too far forward. Did not agree that this was a possible design issue & wanted $480 to replace pads (may still happen) or $220 to file down the plate.
They did confirm issue is not doing any damage or affecting brake integrity so could just live with noise. I went with this option but still fail to see how this isn't a design issue the manufacture should rectify!

I have a Swift 2020 the same issue with brakes making grinding noise when breaking at a corner doing 40-50 km or down hills or just breaking heavily. I just had a 30 k service (which is only 17,000 on the speedometer ) the grinding noise wasn't as bad before the service but had been there previously. I took it back a week later they checked the brakes and told me it’s normal at the Suzuki Service Center. Past Suzuki cars I can’t recall them making such a noise when heavily on the brakes. Does any one have any suggestions on what the problem is.

After some time looking at the battery,re-earthing the negative leads, terminals and the terminal leads I discovered my negative terminal had split completely in half on the underside so I replaced the negative terminal with a led one and that fixed the problem.

Just got my 2017 and after 2 weeks had the same issue-warning lights on whilst driving, no indicators, brake lights, central locking but car running fine. Left overnight and all was ok. Happened again yesterday but the car had been sat in the sun and when I came back to it all the same issues, any ideas?

I found that it was because my car wasn't getting enough power from the battery. Check ur negative and positive terminals aren't cracked on the undersides and that ur earthing cable has no build up on each end.

Thanks for that-it’s just gone back into the garage for checking tomorrow so I’ll see what they come back with and let them know this if they’re stumped

Personal experience

Suzuki Swift 2013  10000 miles
I would like to share my experience with my Suzuki Swift. It works, brakes and turns just like a big and sport car. It is an economicvehicle regarding its fuel consumption and it adapts to the driver perfectly. The only thing I have to point out is that it is a bit hard and this is felt on uneven roads.

U1093 C1630Errors

Suzuki Swift 2018  72000 miles
I recently took the car for a service and a battery change. I noticed that when nthey binstalled the battery they did not place a backup supply on the OBD port as everything had zero'd, clock radio etc etc. The guy said thats only needed on start stop vehicles. ( i am not stupid ). Since the battery change the following errors have appeared to which the mechanic claims that the cameras break very easily and also because we are in a very hot country and the sun burns them they break easily. To which i claim BULLSHIT. The reason i am now faced with these's errors is because of the battery chan… Read complete

No quiero perder mi auto

Automatic breaking

Suzuki Swift 2019 Hatchback 10000 miles
While driving 60km/hr down a straight, the automatic brake just came on with no one around the car. It should normally be activated if there are people or cars around to bring the car to a slow speed. What’s the cause? Car was brought second hand. Can turn off the automatic brakes as well.
