I have a 2008 Toyota Corolla 1.8L automatic transmission. The car makes a popping sound from the engine when I press the gas pedal suddenly. Fuel consumption is higher than normal. Sometimes I can smell gasoline after driving. There is slight rough idle at times. Spark plugs are new and original. The problem started after using regular low octane fuel. No major warning lights on the dashboard.

Car sputters and hesitating to accelerate. I've changed the coil packs, spark plugs, PVC valve. Mas sensor, gas pedal acceleration sensor, throttle body and sensor, fuel pump and fuel filter, and cleaned the fuel injectors. And reset the ECU on a number of times.
