Working on that same issue. I could not find a problem. I pulled my drivers door apart and looked at all the wiring and no fix

Sounds like the door switch button needs to be replaced or at the very least, removed and tested with a trouble light or multimeter

I can hear the locks getting power but they're not unlocking or locking whether it would be the key fob or inside the truck pushing the button itself. I checked fuses and relays, thinking it must be something wrong with the wiring Maybe? If anybody knows please let me know @ryanyearout83@yahoo.com. 2000 Ford F-150 Triton V8

Driver's side door lock does not function
Running boards not deploying on the driver's side.

The power running board on the driver's side would deploy sometime. More often when the truck was running. Then it stopped working. Then the power lock on that door stopped working. I put a new door latch in. Same problem. The running board does make a retracting noise when you shut either door. So I think the retracting part would work. I have looked at some of the wiring but I haven't found anything yet. It's very difficult to get to the wiring in the kick panel and between the door and where the wiring goes inside. I think it's a broken wire or more that one. I just don't have a wiring diagram to say what would cause both problems, and are they related?

I think I solved the problem i found some wires broken in the door jam of the front door. Also there might be some wirring issues at the motor pigtail. It's short and very hard to get to. So more checking tomorrow.

Wipers do not work and the interior dome light does not work and the power windows and power locks do not work. Is there any correlation? The older man I bought it from had the fuse box looking like this. (see pic) said he use to haul a horse trailer. I don’t know what this is or if it has anything to do with my problem. It feel out one day and I’m not really sure which fuses he had it going into. Also can someone tell me what this is? Other picture. It feel out on my feet one day and my gear selector is extremely loose. Thank you very much.

Has power does nothing

Turn key on the dash lights light up power locks work but turn key it does nothing and the gear selector orange light isn’t on it has sat for 3 months and battery was dead but hook jump box to it and has power

Frustrating electrical issues

Radio won't shut off when the ignition is off & door is open, interior lights won't come on when you open door, power locks don't work, battery goes dead & don't charge back up when truck is jump started, battery is new & mechanic told me altinator was good, these problems occured after fuel pump was replaced.
