Abs module

Ford F-150 2001 4.6l 212000 miles
My abs module burnt a small hole in the top of it. Smelt bad and was smoking wondering what this could be.

My abs light is on and I just changed my brake caliber and disc/rotors. Brake goes all the way to the floor. Once I tap it 2-3 times brake works fine. Any suggestions? I replaced the master cylinder yesterday. I bleed brakes all out as well. Thanks!!

2012 Ford F-150 5.0 – ABS, AdvanceTrac, Brake Warning + Speedometer No

Ford F-150 2012 5.0 241000 miles
I have a 2012 Ford F-150 5.0L with an issue where multiple warning lights come on at the same time: ABS, AdvanceTrac, and Check Brake System. At the same time, the speedometer stops working, and the truck loses some power or goes into a limited performance mode. The problem appears while driving, not just at startup. Brakes still function, but I understand that ABS and traction control are disabled. I scanned the truck and found a P0720 code (Output Speed Sensor). I want to understand what could be causing all these systems (ABS, AdvanceTrac, brake warning) to fail together. Could this be… Read complete

I am experiencing the same thing but after doing some things chat gap told me to check with fuse box under the hood and with the harness ,so I looked under the fuse bo checked for corrosion and since I did that my truck won’t turn over at all but all lights on dash are on and the dinger is going crazy making weird sounds and my obd scanner can’t connect with the pcm. I am going to be working on it further and I will post my update later today so hopefully can help you out.

That sounds have the 6speed automatic transmission remove speed sensor and clean any metal on it and also check the fluid make sure it’s not to burnt if so don’t flush the transmission just replace fluid and trans filter if you’re over 120k on the odometer you can also check the electrical connector at the transmission it’s a round connector if it’s leaking or seeping fluid you would need to replace lead frame module that works along with abs system hope that helps

Got my truck up and running found three white wires in the harness near abs controller behind the front drivers wheel corroded off and they are for the hs-can in the pcm I crimped them back together and runs like a champ.

ABS, Traction Control, Brake Catch

Ford F-150 2009 Extended Cab STX 4.6L 171000 miles
Whenever I turn the truck on, when I start driving it, for the first few stops the brake catches as if i were slipping on ice. However if I pump the brake, its fine for the rest of the drive. Also, the ABS turns on whenever I reach 10-15mph after I start driving. A few other things that may correlate include the speedometer not working and my 4x4 not engaging, thought not positive. Ive replaced the calipers, pads, speed sensors, and 4x4 actuators. My dad seems to think it may be the abs module, but wanted another opinion. Thanks in advance
