My husband and I have spent the last two weeks trying to figure out why our 2000 Honda Accord EX 3.0 V6 Sedan stopped running and we have been unsuccessful in our efforts. The car began hesitating and losing power when accelerating or going uphill. We thought it was a fuel filter problem, but we learned that the 2000 Accord sedan doesn't have a fuel filter, in the traditional sense; apparently it is built into the fuel pump and is not a serviceable or replaceable part. My dad was sitting in my car while I ran into the store. He was there for no more than 5 minutes. He said my radio started acting strange and stuttering(?) My car was off but the key was in the accessory position. When i got into the car and turned the key the it clicked like the battery was drained and it wouldn't start. (No battery light) I can't imagine the battery was drained that quickly. I just replaced the alternator (3 times because of a leaking "pcv" gasket I think its called.
