Ford F-150 2004 220000 miles
Hi friends, I have a problem with my Ford F150 2004: I changed the discs and the shock absorbers and now the ABS and brake indicator lights came on. I already changed the sensors and checked the discs. Ideas?

Check the ABS connector plug, it might be loose. I just tried disconnecting mine and it did the same.

Hello all! My truck doesn't have ABS, a mechanic already checked that, and it doesn't have ABS sensors either, but in the dashboard the ABS light and brake light are on. The scanner doesn't show anything, does anybody know what's going on and how can I fix it?

In these trucks, the ABS sensor is on top of the differential. Check that out, and good luck!
Anti skid sensor wire grounding out front right on frame, added tape light gone away.
Same here fixed the abs the break lights still on

Same issue i have on 98 f150 4.6 2wd you figure this problem is common and ford should rewire this and make it right for the owners the customer is always right and i know that there is a major issue with electrical shorts in the factory harnesses.
Has anyone figured this out already imbstuck

replaced BCM Body Control Module in my friends and had the dealer flash a junkyard unit.
$160 for BCM
$300 for dealer to flash the module as it holds the key codes for the anti theft system.
if you want to know exactly what component failed: it is a "Quad High Side Switch" NXP Part number 10XS3435D.
if you know somebody skilled enough to:
1. Open the BCM
2. desolder the 4 connectors holding the BCM boardstack together.
3. Replace the defective IC (REFDES U20 for right rear blinker/brake light problem or U11 for left rear blinker/brake light problem) with an SMD rework station you can save the $300 Dealer labor for flashing the module.
I am currently repairing the original, I will post my work if successful.

First check that the lamps in the stop lights are working, and if they are you have to check the interrupter that is on top of the brake pedal. Normally that is the one that fails... when stepping on the pedal it should send the signal to the lights, otherwise it won't work
I had the same problem but realized that a cable that drives the power to the trailer and lights was disconnected, check that

Hello I have the same problem, I press the brake pedal the stop lights do not light and impossible to go into drive mode... P-lock, brake sensor at the pedal change and 2 months after that starts again an idea of the problem?

I had the same issue last year with my old baby — at first, I didn’t pay much attention when the horn stopped working, but then on a hot day (+32°C), the gear shifter suddenly got stuck. So please check the brake switch near the pedal first — you can carefully remove it and test it with a multimeter; in my case, it showed no continuity at all. I replaced it myself — the part cost around £22 and took about an hour to fit. The saddest thing was that I was driving to a date with a girl from https://www.tenderbang.com/fuck-tonigh… and needed a car urgently. But it never worked out. The good thing was that I quickly managed to find not only the spare parts, but also the girl.

This circuit is on a separate fuse. I was unable to get a correct fuse diagram(no manual) so I did what I should have done, took it to my mechanic. He is normally booked 2 weeks or more out. So he said to bring it in first thing in morning. He got all the specs on the truck, went in to the office and came out with a diagram. Pulled the fuse replaced it all in about 10 minutes. Best part NO CHARGE! love these guys.

Ok have a 2012 Ford F150 XLT brake lights and turn signals do not come on. I have replaced the turn signal relays, the multifunction switch, the brake pedal switch, several fuses that were not. Blown but replaced anyways, the bulb socket housing, as well as wiring for brake lights, after this did not work I changed the PCM relay out and replaced it, put brand new bulbs in, and also had a mechanic do a reset on the computer but still have no signal lights and no brake lights. I got the same problem in my 2000 F-150 ,still haven't found it ,but I got continuity all through the truck ,that should not be there ,checked all ground connections now tiredown.

I have the same problems no tail brakes on right side so I got the pigtail from a junk yard and hooked it to my trailer lights every thing works now
Yeah ive replaced everything and cleaned all ground connections. Still not working and now the license plate lights and taillights are out and just the same all fuses and relays operational. I have a 2012 F150 with similar issues but replaced the bulbs and now have brake lights and turn signals but still have no license plate lights does anyone know what fuse powers these lights or what fuse it is grouped with? In the meantime I guess I will tape a flashlight to the bumper to illuminate the license plate when driving at night … hoping it’s not a wiring or electrical issue as I am not at all handy with auto mechanical issues if it is beyond a bulb or a fuse replacement or something very basic!

You are likely dealing with a blown fused link. A fused link is not a fuse,but a solder joint somewhere in the main harness. When a fused link gets overloaded,the solder joint is designed to melt out,thus breaking the connection so you're ride doesn't totally burn up. Since they are not readily visible,they can be time consuming to find. But when you do find it, just replace that section of wiring and it should fix your problem

If the right side works but the left brake and signal don’t, it’s usually more than just a bulb. On the 2011 F-150, the most common issues are a bad bulb socket, a corroded connector, or a faulty ground wire on that side. Even a small amount of corrosion can stop the brake and signal from getting power. I’d check the socket contacts, clean the ground connection, and inspect the wiring harness for damage https://apkloot.net/ those steps often fix the problem quickly.

Pulled boat trailer all weekend, running lights, side marks, still work on trailer, no brake lights. Tried a different trailer, same issue. No brake lights (all 3) on truck, tail lights come on, headlights and turn signals work. Bulbs good and cleaned connectors with contact cleaner, 20 amp mini fuse wasnt blown but looked discolored at prong base, changed anyway. Replaced 5 prong pigtail but not 7way cleaned connection. Parking brake light on, but it has been. Brake switch sensor or ground??? Where would ground be and is there only 1? Is there a way to test brake pedal switch and where is it exactly? Or could it be something else??? Thanks.

I would find a wiring diagram that shows your trailer hook ups and what they lead to upfront and do a continuity test on the tail light wire connector in the rear to where it goes. If you get a beep, it’s still good if not, then wire is broken somewhere in that loom.

Since the third light works I assumed it was not the switch... I checked all fuses and they were all good. I changed all bulbs, just to check and the same results.

I had some wire short underneath the dash that led into a light blue box probably a relay and I have no brake lights or turn signals I've replaced the main switch the brakes brake switch I've replaced the cruise control switch I've replaced multiple fuses and there's a light blue box that came off the main wiring harness look like it was pigtailed into it that cluster of wires dead in into and that art on the metal underneath the dash and basically melted whatever that box was and I don't know what it is to get it replaced please can you help me
