Engine Control Unit. According to the values shown by different sensors, it estimates certain parameters such as the amount of air and fuel that need to be supplied, the amount of time needed to start the car, the pressure of the turbocharger, and any other key aspects to maximize its performance and efficiency with the least amount of contamination possible.
Theft mode flashes , turn key will not crank or start , can not gain access with scanner. Friend from Ford stopped by and programmed ECM but can't gain access to security theft module. Also can't locate the key ring transciver. Just bought the truck from some people that was swapping computer and stuff trying to get it back running. Sat two years they gave up. I did have it starting and trying to stay running but no fuel was being pumped. Then back in theft all of a sudden. Is there a transceiver ring on this truck from the factory ? And I don't have any info on the fuses and relays.
Pcm not working when key is turned on and the transmission indicator not working either originally had no front blinkers found the smart juntion box on pass side corroded cleaned as can not order new one out of stock for a couple months after cleaning got blinkers working but truck will not start
Havin a weird issue with supplied voltage to coils maf and pcm I'd assume too. 12v source to the MAF will jump between 14.2-17.8 and sometimes just goes blank a split second then truck runs terribly and stalls. That only happens while MAF is plugged in. If MAF not plugged in the measured voltage is steady and truck runs pretty smooth can't drive it like that at all but it will idle good. When the Voltage begins to spike the 02 sensor MAF lose signal and stop communicating and 3 transmission codes for speed output shaft speed input shaft speed come up if you attempt to drive it at all. Has brand new 'Hitachi' maf. And the previous one did same thing.
