Check coolant tank reservoir fitting usually leak from there bottom connection it’s a pressure fitting hope that helps
kearney0001 from United States 7 months ago
Thanks I will do that. Also I had a heater hose leaking and I changed it.
kearney0001 from United States 6 months ago
It was a heater hose they are kind of like a snap on with an O ring inside of them
Ralph from United States 6 months ago
Good for you just remember heat will make the o-rings weak just replace oring and you should be fine check them every oil change

Oil in coolant bottle

Ford F-150 2017 3.5 132000 miles
I am getting oil in my coolant bottle but no coolant in my engine oil. I replaced the oil cooler and flush everything but it still happens. When flushing the engine nothing but coolant comes out, no oil. Truck runs great, not overheating, no codes. Has new radiator, water pump, thermostat and some hoses. Noticed some hoses getting swollen I guess from the oil. It is a 2017 F150 3.5l ego boost with 132,000 miles on it. Did a head gasket test and the blue changed to a light yellow. Any ideas?

Update: I discovered when my truck wouldn’t move that it was 2 quarts low on transmission fluid. It looks like it is transmission fluid mixing with my coolant not motor oil. I have a heat exchanger to cool the fluid. Waiting on the part to come in and will update if that solves it.

Blower working but no heat

Ford F-150 2016  145000 miles
Truck lost heat towards end of last cold season. This year when I tried the heat, it did heat good for about 3 to 4 days and then it stopped again. I checked the coolant and it doesn’t appear to have any leaks anywhere.

Temp gauge spikes into the red

Ford F-150 2006 Crew cab 150000 miles
When driving the temp gauge will run inthe normal..., range for about20 minutes then it will spike into the red. Check gauge shows up on the dash. Stop and cycle the key and every thing is good. Used o. B. D. Reader. P1299 is the code that comes up. I changed the temp sensor no change. The engine is not hot I can remove the cap on the coolant jug

Your Accord is equipped with a temperature gauge that shows you how hot or cold the engine coolant is. During normal operation, it should stay in the middle of the range. If it moves into the red, though, you need to do something immediately...https://forpc. Onl/snaptube-for-pc/ https://jfi. Cam/jiofilocalhtml/ If there's no steam visible, watch the temperature gauge.
Jefro from United States 4 years ago
I am having the same issue on my 06 f150 4.2 temp gauge will slowly go into the red and the engine is not hot. Most of the time it will come back down but today it stayed in the red, truck lost power, engine was running rough and engine light came on. Made it home turned it off for a few minutes, gauge was normal and truck ran normal... I am still trying to figure it out...Any help would be appreciated. Therm is new...Maybe using RVT silicon on therm housing could be causing it?????

Froth under my oil cap

Ford F-150 1998 3door 189000 miles
Yellowish froth on my oil cap. And my radiator was always low. I was told I have a blown head gasket so I put in a bottle of Barrs into the radiator.ir seed to help with the coolant levels but froth is still there.

I see this a lot! Most of the time, it's caused by condensation build-up in the engine. Does your vehicle idle a lot? If an engine doesn't get regular highway drives or see higher rpms often, you'll usually find a weird froth under the oil cap. I wouldn't rule out headgasket, but it is more than likely just condensation from too much idle time. Ive actually got a picture of it from a recent customer vehicle. Does this look similar?

Check the coolant tank and make sure it’s not building pressure it it builds to much pressure possible blown head gasket also check your exhaust pipe for a sweet smell and if it smells sweet again might just be a head gasket leak good luck

Electricals faultysensors

Ford F-150 2006 Crew cab 150000 miles
Truck is running in the normal heat range. After about 20 min. The temp gauge will spike into the red. I can open the cap on the coolant jug and. It is not hot. I cycle the key and it runs and the gauge is in the normal range and runs there for twenty min. Ichecked with an o. B. D. Reader the code is p1299. Says temp sensor. Ichanged the sensor which is located in the intake behind the alternator no change. Any idea where to check next.
