My girlfriend texted me and said that the other day that her air-conditioning was not working so I thought maybe it was a fuse for the air compressor or whatever, btw I’m not a certified mechanic, but usually if I can figure out what the problem is, I can fix it by watching a video or reading a form. That was like two days ago so today I go and take a look and realize that she has hardly any coolant in her coolant reservoir so I fill it back up air starts working. She leaves to go do some stuff for it comes back and it’s not working again reservoir it still has cooling in it. Was wondering if anybody had any information that would be helpful thank you.

Found out recently that a/c will work only if exterior lights are turned on (including fogs).

My AC unit was working one day and then started blowing hot air. I thought it needed a recharge so I did that it worked for a day and then went back to blowing hot air. Is it the relay or is it the compressor?

Check and make sure the clutch hub plate on the ac compressor is still there. The bolt will loosen up and it will fall off. Happened to.me twice. Third time I jb welded the bolt on there and it hasn't fallen off again so far. They actually sell just that part now or you can pick one up at the junkyard real cheap. Oh and after i allready figured it out I asked the dealership and they quoted me $1000. And when I told them about what the problem actually was they claimed "never heard of that befor" (yeah sure!)

Same issue ac works then goes to hot line heater has been turned on. Straying the car then turning lights/w fog lights on then turn in ac. All befor putting car in gear works for a while then the ac will go back to heat. Heard it was a computer issue. Any work around known?
AC worked fine yesterday. This morning, all the lights come on, but no fan blower. 2019 Fusion Hybrid. 173K
Today, I tried turned it on again while driving down the highway. Nothing for a bit, but them it started working again!! Is it possible it was overheating and not using it for a few days cooled it down?

Last year, right at the peak of summer, my AC went out. A few weeks later, it randomly started working again and held up for a little while before completely failing. I kept trying to turn it on every so often, but no luck.
About a year later—two months ago—I finally took it to a mechanic. They told me it wasn’t holding freon and that the compressor needed to be replaced. Since I didn’t have the money for repairs at the time, I decided to hold off.

I am facing this issue in honda city iv-tec model. Ac air low pressure sensor & high pressure sensor have to change & heating coil have to clean also condenser coil.
We had the same issue then found out that the wires for everything in the car fused together by the engine melting everything. So all the wires got spliced by the dealership and everything worked perfectly fine. Then a few months later nothing happened. It was all fixed! Lol

It is the A/C buttons on my ford fusion 2016 1.5 turbo-boost. The AC buttons not working, the passenger window is not opening, radio tuning/Volume up and down all these buttons not working... some times they work and suddenly stop working all at once.
The radio screen still working fine and i can navigate through it but can’t turn the AC on. They work sometimes all fine and the AC is cold but suddenly they all stop at once!!. I checked the fuses all working fine. I don’t know what is the problem. Can somebody help me please?

Ac kicks on and off and makes car cut out

I turn ac on and it works great but then it kicks off all of a sudden. Ive got to to under the dash on passenger side and wiggle a wire? Why is it doing that?

Driver side blows hot air when AC on

Main issue: D/S only blows hot air when the AC is on. D/S door actuator and P/S door actuator have both been replaced not change. Checked refrigerant, good. I noticed the D/S also does not blow air out as much as the P/S and when my car goes into hybrid mood the D/S will start to cool down but as soon as the engine kicks on it gets over 100 degrees.

Same problem. Pulley is spinning just fine but clutch won't engage. I also had an evap small leak and I read that the PCM does pre-checks before sending signal to a/c compressor but after fixing leak still no a/c. How to diagnose if clutch has gone bad or PCM won't send signal?

In the dashboard, the temperature was within the operational range, and the fan initially turned on as expected. However, there have been instances where the fan turns on even when the air conditioning is not in use. Additionally, the fan remains on even after the engine has been shut off, resulting in a drained battery.

Cooling fan not getting started when the AC is switched ON. But the fan gets started after the engine temperature reaches 90 Deg C. Even after it is running, it runs at a low speed.
