Battery problems

Volkswagen Passat 1999 V6 20000 miles
I get in my car and start it up and drive off, 10 min down th road my car starts losing power and slowing down, I pulled over and turned the car off, then when I tried to start it again it wouldn't start the battery was flat. Now my car won't start at all, please help.

Try having the charging system tested sounds like it may have been running on uthe battery power only

Any one have issue with 2002 bmw? I have a PO 444 code and I changed the Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid Valve and it still showing code. And a PO505 for idle air control, what do I have to fix or replace?
