I had to replace my shift solenoids and that gave me 4th,5th and 6th back… I didn’t replace the valve body tho and now I’m starting to lose them all over again..
I have a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta 1.4 TSI with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
I have been experiencing a jerking/bumping issue when shifting gears. The main symptoms are:
1. A noticeable jerk when shifting from N to D. 2. A jerk when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. 3. A jerk when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. 4. A jerk when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd gear. 5. Sometimes there is also a jerk when downshifting from 4th gear. 6. The problem has been present for about one year. 7. The transmission fluid has been changed several times, but the problem is still present. 8. Different mechanics have suggested different causes, including the transmission control module, sensors, or internal transmission problems.
I would like a proper diagnosis before replacing the transmission. Please check the transmission control module, solenoids, sensors, adaptation values, line pressure, transmission mounts, and perform a complete scan for transmission-related fault codes.
