I have the same problem but only happens after it first starts up and only does it twice.

Coolant fans won't turn on

Installed brand new fans radiator module, checked fuses ran ob2, checked wiring, etc

Crank no Start

Audi A4 2008 A4 Quattro 2.0T Cabriolet, Auto - 4 cyl 123000 miles

Dec. 2024 - Rough start, then Limp Mode until it Stalled at Gas Station.
Completed
July, 2024 - Replaced: Spark Plugs w. E3-2 & Ignition Coils fr. Amazon. April, 2025 - Cleaned: MAF; Camshaft Control Sensor; Throttle Body Intake

To do:

Recharge: Battery

Replace: High Pressure Fuel Pump & Cam Follower - ASAP
" Crank-Shaft Control Sensor - ASAP
" Diverter Valve
" Coolant Multi-Valve
Check Fuel Filter
" Low Pressure Fuel Pump & its Control Unit; Fuse(s); Relays; other Sensor(s)

Coolant leak

Audi A4 2006 Wagon, 2.0T, 157000 miles

One day a few years ago, I parked my car due to an oil leak a few years later after I parked it I got in my car after refilling the oil, started it let it warm up and give it a few good revs and a coolant hose behind the motor popped and is now leaking coolant. I also don’t know where it is leaking oil. It seems like it’s coming from the front of the engine because oil was everywhere…

Get yourself some coolant system dye, and a UV flashlight; I had a leak in my cooling system on my 2000 A4 B5 1.8t Quattro, added the dye, ($12/ScAmazon), had to wait until it got dark to really be able to see where the coolant was leaking from, but you will SEE any leaks right away; there is also an engine oil dye that can be added to your crankcase, to effectively highlight any engine oil leaks; I don’t think that the dyes are interchangeable, make sure you get one dye each for coolant and engine oil. I hope this helps you to find and repair your leaks…I had a coolant leak several years ago, for about five weeks, drove me nuts that I couldn’t figure it out; a tech at my work suggested the dye, found the leak immediately, it ended up being a cracked plastic collar on the heater hose coming from the back of the cylinder head, to the inlet for the heater core, the coolant was leaking from the bottom of the collar next to the cylinder head, so it was not visible from above, use an inspection mirror, or hoist, and also the coolant travelled down the length of the hose, and dripped from the lowest point of the bend in the hose…Best of Success…!!! B-)

Leakage drivers side

Audi A4 2011 manual 1.8T 240000 miles

There's a pink leakage underneath the drivers feet, it is oily with no characteristic smell. I have checked for coolant leakage apparently it is not. When I switch the heater on, you can smell the fumes from the air vents.

Oil getting in to expansion tank

Oil is getting in to the coolant.It is not sludgy looking.It is black floating on the coolant Expansion tank cap is also oily Could it be the oil cooler causing this The car is not over heating
