Oil alert on the dashboard SolvedSolved

Seat Ibiza 2004  124000 miles
Around 8 days ago, my Seat was serviced: the air and oil filters were replaced, as well as spark plugs and its wiring. Once the oil was changed for Mobil oil 5W-30, and not more than 5 minutes after I started driving, the oil warning appeared on the dashboard. I turned off the car immediately and checked the oil level, which was perfect. I decided to change the oil pressure sensor but the alert kept turning on. Today, I removed the oil and a fluid to clean the engine was added. After that, it was filled with the same oil 5W30 because the mechanic said it is the one this cars take. However, the engine oil warning indicator is still there. What can I do? Hope you can help me and thanks.

Hi, mave. It might be that the oil pump is not working properly any longer or that the oil crankcase is damaged. Check them both.

Thank you very much for your suggestions. I wanted to share that the crankcase and pump were checked as you advised and they were in perfect conditions. However, it was found out that the oil viscosity was too low when the car reached its average temperature, so it was replaced by a Magnatec oil 15W-40 and the warning disappeared. Hope this solution helps others with my same inconvenient in the future.

Engine wont start occasionally

Seat Ibiza 2013 FR 6J 70000 miles
Hi everyone, I’m experiencing persistent issues with my Seat Ibiza FR 2013 (1.2 105hp), and I need some advice. Here are the details: • The car mostly starts and works great. almost once or twice a week, engine wont start - i hear the starter works but nothing. • It also shut off suddenly while driving and would not restart (happened several times) After 20 minutes- 3 hours maybe, the car will start without doing anything, just waiting. Parts i have replaced during the fix attempts: The immobilizer, ECU, fuel pump, battery, crank sensor. 3. Additional Notes: • The… Read complete

Your car is newer, and different and not that model, but seems like simular to my problem. I don't know the solution yet.
For about 2 years the engine without any sign just refuse to start. I need 2-3 minute to start it. Then the problem disappear for 2 weaks. After that it happen again. Same day twice, and disappear again for another 2 months. Then again. No signs of any pattern. Now its fine for like 3 or 4 months.
The engine random stops after i push in the clutch. But i can restart it with the key, or with the clutch but that is not the greatest idea. What can i do on a highway with 130-150?... I has to do that.
My car is 2008 Seat Cordoba 1.4 petrol 8X HP

This is not dangerous, or something like that, but without it happening front of the service they can do nothing. I'm waiting for that something to broke finally and i can replace it. But nothing yet. It's just annoying that i have this problem an nobody know how to fix it.

I am very keen to hear what others have to say about this problem as I'm in the same situation as you right now. Car randomly wouldn't start, then out of the blue it would. Last 2 weeks have had RAC out to it 3 times. I would be driving and the EPC light engian management light and traction control light would illuminate and the car just cut out.
RAC investigation 1 - Recommended a complete new set of spark plugs. So these were replaced.
RAC Investigation 2 - diagnostic showed intermittent relay fault along with error codes. Was told I needed to replace O2 Sensors. Work booked in and carried out.
Car wouldn't start after these have been changed. RAC mechanic then re diagnosed and intermittent relay fault was now showing.

RAC Mechanic visit -3 came to replace all Relays as he was convinced it was now a relay fault. All relays changed, No effect had what so ever. Car will only turn over now and will not start at all. Told me I needed an Auto Electrician as he had no idea what was wrong.

Auto Electrician visit. Diagnosed way more faults than RAC, Did a thorough check of all fuses relays and possible wiring issues. All were found to be good. His recommendations were to contact dealer for a new programmed ECU.
The car is on the drive un startable. If a new ECU is required then the car will be scrapped.
Any help anyone can offer would be very much appreceated.

When I park it up to do something where I have to leave the dog in the car. Go to a shop or put fuel in , obviously there is sensors in the car to detect movement. Is there any way this can be disabled.

Jerks

Seat Ibiza 2004  185000 miles
My car jerks and the scanner indicates a failure in cylinders 1 and 3 as well as a poor combustion. The vehicle is working properly and it suddenly fails, as if it were a problem with a wire. But they are new, just like the coil. The injectors have been cleaned and the fuel pump replaced but the sensor keeps providing the same errors.
