I've finally found the cause of my problem. It was the Chevystar, which I always thought was desactivated until my van was blocked by it. I've removed the Chevystar and everything came back to normal.

My truck won't start

Chevrolet Silverado 2007 extended cab 150000 miles
It has been running well. Started up fine this morning. Got to my appointment. Came back out to leave and truck would not turn on. It was as if the battery was dead. When the AAA mechanic checked the battery it was fine. But the dash lights would not come no when the key was turned. Then they did but there was no effert to start. The engine might click but nothing else. The dome lights were bright and working. It was putting out a full voltage the mechanic said. But again the dash lights would not come on. But then they did again.

I have a pulsar LT upgrade trip for my Silverado, and what I discovered when I was taking it to the dealership was I was taking a pulsar LT main chip in disconnecting it but really, I should’ve been disconnecting all the wiring, which is only two harnesses, and then connecting back the originals next to the colder intake so when you take the pulsar LT and disconnect is the main chip it deactivated the whole vehicle. I’m assuming it’s a safety precaution which is a great one Security is key

No crank no start battery keeps getting drained after jumping with cab

Chevrolet Silverado 2004 6.0 v8 ls 120000 miles
After charging or jump starting the truck it will run. But after sitting the battery drains out again. The Stanley battery box shows the alternator is good. I tapped the starter, checked ground to the starter and block. I also checked fuses and the starter fuse does click and traded it out but still no start.

Suddenly won't start.

Chevrolet Silverado 1999  250000 miles
It won't start. It turns over and acts like it's going to start but don't. I thought it was a problem with the security system but I've done all the bypass tricks that normally work but it won't work. I've changed all the spark plugs and fuses and the battery. Also changed the fuel pump. I've checked all fluids plus the fuel pump and starter and both kick on just fine. The security light stays on flashing and the battery dies extremely fast. Anyone know what the issue could be and what I can do to fix it? My truck is the newer body.

First, check if there's any loose connector near the battery or semething damaged. I dont´t know Silverado, but maybe there's a sort of BCM or electronic module that controls all you mention.

It is possible to utilize a multimeter and sequentially remove fuses to identify the source of the issue. Tutorials on this process are readily available on YouTube.

tail lights don't flash for turn signal or hazards

Chevrolet Silverado 2012 1500 5.3L 160000 miles
I hope someone can shed some light on my issue. When using the turn signal to turn left, it blinks once normally on the dashboard then blinks on and off rapidly. The tail lights are not lighting up or blinking to indicate that the turn signal is on. I also noticed that the hazard lights also do not flash in the driver side tail light. I checked the fuse box inside next to the steering wheel and noticed the BCM fuse keeps blowing out. I've replaced it multiple times but at this point I'm just wasting fuses. I just got a new battery and ordered a tail light pigtail because it seems like someone'… Read complete

Have you by chance changed your bulb recently in those lights? If you use a LED bulb without a resistor the truck will think the ball is burnt out and cause that behavior.

Mine did the same thing. I tracked it down to be the eject for the CD player kept cycling, even with the key off.
Walker from United States 2 years ago
CD player was a good tip. My 2010 Silverado has drained the battery several times over past 5 years. I carried a 10mm wrench so I could disconnect battery if I heard running after key off. This last time I had noticed that radio was detecting a CD in player. When I tried to eject is there was none there. I inverted a CD and ejected it and noise stopped. I keep a CD to go with my wrench and listen every time I shut it off.

The CD Player is stuck in eject mode. Pull the radio and unplug the wire and it will stop. I had the same problem and this fixed it. Do not unplug the wire that operates thr radio. You will still have a working radio but no CD Player.

Cranks but wont start

Styxxed from United States 2 years ago
The P069E just means the fuel pump module has seen a problem. The P0463 means the problem seen has to do with the voltage signal from the fuel level sensor. This could just be telling you that your fuel gauge isn't accurate but if the no-start is related at all to the codes, you could just be out of gas.

Won't Start in the Winter, this is the third Winter with problems

Chevrolet Silverado 2003 Chevy GMC Sierra 200000 miles
This truck runs like a top all summer and fall, in the winter no start, tow over, when we take it to the mechanic in a warm garage starts right up, drive it home, next day forget it. Have tested everything electronic nothing shows up on the diagnostic, have replaced everything known to man, ignition switch, plugs, complete overhaul kept up well and still nothing. Our other vehicle starts right up in the same cold temps...any suggestions? Showing Wife's e-mail below. New Battery. This vehicle is not a Chevy El Dorado don't know why it says it on my vehicle description...is a 2003 GMC Sierra.

Think it's a bcm maybe

Chevrolet Silverado 1999 Silverado 5.3 2x4 300000 miles
So my 1500 started the issue by the red battery light coming on sporadically and then like for 2 or 3 weeks I was having to turn the wheel one way to get it to start but then just boom I had no problems with starting but now whenever you turn the key off and out the headlights will stay on and start flashing. Won't stop unless u disconnect the battery cables. Oh and I also forgot all my gauges started going haywire but now I dont think any of them work properly

Brake lights have a mind of their own.

Chevrolet Silverado 2015 silverado 2500hd 6.0 gas crew cab ltz 180000 miles
Noticed brake lights going on and off while driving while driving for the first couple miles and then they go back to normal operation. Only noticed this once the weather got cold. Then a new symptom developed as the brake lights come on while the truck is off and stay on long enough that it killed the battery. I replaced the brake pedal position sensor and re-calibrated it. Did not fix it. Got another one and did it again just in case. Same problem. No change. Truck is parked for the winter so if anyone has any ideas it would be great to get it fixed before spring.
