Kia Rio 2012 Hatchback 130000 miles
Not all doors unlock with the remote control but the alarms come on as a warning that the car is unlocked. I have to put the key in the door but still only the driver's door opens. The others from the inside only. The port baccy opens normally with its button. When locking the car it locks normally with its remote control.
What can I do? And where should I focus?

Drivers door won't unlock or open and can't take door panel off cause one screw is hidden between the dash board and door

Have had the same problem, remove the drivers seat and seat belt plastic cover and you will be able pry open the door panel enough with the inaccessible retaining screw, to get to the locking mechanism. Then from other reviews I had read there is a spring that fails regularly in this year model which you can manipulate with a screwdriver to open the door( if unsure of how it operates, remove the passenger door to view the operation) and Google/YouTube that shit till you find it. My issue was the spring and also the locking hook/assembly on the the door, two of the 3 retaining screws had come loose and jammed the door/lock which you could not see at all. A forcible entry was required by using/holding weight on a pry bar between the gap of the door as close as possible to the lock and prying till it came open( 2 person operation) quite frustrating when you can't see why.
