For this you will need a tune up. The catalytic converters go out for many reasons. On the traverse most common is the spark plugs.
For this case it sounds like there is allot going on, based on the high miles I would take it to a certified mechanic to do a few test and they would be able to see exactly what is going on.
Changing the catalytic converters will not solve the issue, we need to know what caused them to go bad, they do not just go bad on their own.
If you cannot go to a mechanic, I would start with new spark plugs, replace all of the o2 sensors and remove and clean the catalytic converters. This will only do a temporary fix and or buy more time.
If you can share the codes that would help, especially the low voltage ones.
When i first bought my car, the auto lights from bright to regular worked fine until it got colder and it snowed or there was frost on my car. It would turn on or off at anytime - it once turned the bright lights as a car was coming toward me - turned out it was a police officer but thankfully he didn't pull me over. I took it to the dealership twice and was accused of doing it myself by 2 mechanics!. Needless to say, even after I showed them a video of what it was doing, they were clueless. They wanted to tear apart the steering column and dash - No, thank you! I ended up shutting the feature off and I manually turn the brights on/off. Just curious if it is just my car or a Traverse issue?
For this vehicle and the older models, I have seen this before. There is a sensor on the dash towards the center it looks like a small black ball. There is also a camera that is behind the rear view mirror that is used to automatically adjust your headlights, the solution is to turn on your defoggers for the glass, do not hang anything on your rear view mirror as it can disturb the camera, if you can clean the mirror and the sensor with lens cleaning wipes. If this does not work you need to get the sensors and camera checked by the dealer. But yes I have seen this many times with different vehicles. If the sensors or camera get foggy or dirty they cant see so they will give the wrong data to the computer and in return change the lighting options.
The noise and vibrations can be many things, you should first get the tires checked and balanced, that can be the noise or vibration.
Second a test you can do lift the front of the vehicle from the frame or pinch welds as we call them. Shake the tire from left to right (3 and 9 o clock positions) and notice if there is any play or movement this means some of your suspension parts/ bushings/ bearings can be worn or damaged. Do the same test for the rear of the vehicle.
Check bushings push and pull on links and tie rods. If you hear noise while hitting bumps check the front and rear stabilizing bar bushings and end links.
Any vibration while accelerating points to Inner CV axle joints. Check the CV axles while your vehicle is lifted on the front end.
If you have more details you can share them and I can help answer your questions.
When this warning message comes on, this means that either your batteries are low on your TPMS sensors that are in the tires. You need to go to a tire shop so that they can scan the sensors. They will change the sensors and reprogram the TPMS sensors for the vehicle. This will clear the message.
The car will run if u spray gas in the throttle body. The low pump has 61 psi the high one has 1100-1200...I replaced pressure sensor on the fuel rail..., idnt know what else to do
The last time this happened it day for about 6 months finally got it to start and all that was that wouldn't allow it to start was in the passenger floor board there is a code box up under dash and a 2amp blown fuse was what kept this big Thang from starting!!! Then one night I was on way to grocery store and within a minute from the house and all of sudden it's like I was out of gas and as if I had square tires on this thing and then for really hard to steer and I haven't figured it out since any help would be more than appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Radio works but sound only works in front tweeters and will sometimes go on in the front left or right front ,where is the fuse box or can it be a connector problem
Al estar conduciendo se empieza a calentar ya le cambié el censor de temperatura pero pasa mas de la mitad después de un rato baja y mas si voy en marcha
For mine i had a damaged wheel hub ring that the speed sensor reads. Once replaced i was good. Also my battery connection (inside the truck bolt mounted to the wall) was corroded. Once cleaned fixed my issue
My car doesn't want to start after putting gas in it. It acts like it wants to the first try after putting the gas cap on, but wont turn over. Then the second time trying, it starts for a couple seconds then dies. Then the third time trying, it'll start, but it runs rough.
*This is all on one time trying to start it*
Like not enough fuel is getting to the engine. I just changed the purge valve last year. The exhaust does have a leak/loose.
My directionals randomly blink after I turn the truck off. Why? Sometimes the driver's front blinks first and then all the directionals will blink in turn, all the way around the vehicle. Other times it'll just be 1 of the lights randomly. Sometimes it starts in the back and goes all the way around. The lights will blink just a few times to quite a few times. I can't identify a pattern.
The problem started with only a couple of time trying to turn it on and only the tick sounded and just the lights turned on but recently it just doesn’t start and only the lights turn on
