Fords advance track has been activated and it's because of the electrical side of the ignition switch was malfunctioned. I'm now trying to bypass the switch but did not have a hot wire to work with from the switch but have located it from the sbj box under the dash. I haven't tried to power anything yet but if and when I do I will post it. The anti theft has cut power so that's why I'm trying what I just mentioned. It all sounds confusing but there may be a few that can follow and help if you have been what I've been thru with the outstanding and unforgettable Mercury milan 2011.

Anti theft activated on 2006 Mercury Milan...help!

Mercury Milan 2006 4 door milan 180000 km
The anti theft system was activated on my 2006 Mercury Milan and I've tried following owners manual and many other suggestions that I read on line but still cannot deactivate it. Plz help, I just purchased this car for work and had it exactly two days and the system was activated and I have no idea why. When I bought the car the previous owner had installed a homemade toggle switch start or push button start wired straight to the starter.

How did you resolve your issue. This just happened to me and I had to get new keys as the computer no longer recognized my transponder keys.

The traction control light came in and everything went haywire and then shut the car off and it won't crank or do anything then after 3 to 5 days it would crank and after a hour or so the car would go haywire again and wouldn't crank so I pulled out the switch reprogrammed the key for the immobilezer and hot wired it and it was good for about 6 months and then it started again so put in a new switch but B4 that I started checking fuses and there was a whole block of fuses out don't know why but replaced the switch I'm not a mech but I don't know what's the problem is can anyone shoot a suggestion. Not many folks know a whole lot about any of this so anything could help
