Sensors: Electrical device that measures the different performance parameters of the car.

They are used to measure the air pressure, the temperature, the speed, the liquid level, the characteristics of the exhaust smoke, etc. They are connected to the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) and they provide the information needed to improve the engine's performance.
My escape won’t start. Awhile back I was driving down the road and it started missing bad like it wasn’t getting enough gas like it was being chocked out. Towed to a bad mechanic who fixed it by spraying some flammable carb cleaner into some area of the. He said it was temporary. The same thing happened a month later. Is it the fuel sensor ?? Please help me understand so I can solve this problem.
Occasionally (once every few months) a warning light on the dash saying that the tire pressure sensor is faulty. The tire pressure is all good as well.
After a service was done to my car, it jerks when accelerating considerably. Every time it does so, the alternator light appears in the dashboard but it has no charging issues. The scanner registers a crankshaft's sensor failure. I've disconnected the exhaust, cleaned injectors, checked coils and hoses and even changed spark plugs but the problem is still there. Any help?
I have been told that by changing all the coils the problem should be solved. If the scanner detects which of the cylinders is having a coil failure you can then replace only the damaged ones. Tell me if I could help you please.
I had your same problem and the cause ended up being an ignition coil. Once it was detected which was the damaged coil with the code errors in the dashboard, it was replaced and the problem was solved.
Excuse me sir frod escape not power comming why .... New plug im all fuse cheking but i canot dicted this compalint ... Sir pls tell me whtais tha complaints
My Escape died, had it towed, was diagnosed as an airflow sensor. Had it replaced and drove it home. It stalled on the way home at light, restarted, revved engine and it ran great. Get in next am and it started , idled fine, put in drive and it stalls, restarted, revved engine and it ran fine again, same thing this am. What the heck?
Update, took it into a Ford dealership to have a diagnostic scan done. 2 hours later, turns out my mechanic put in an after market airflow sensor, it ran bad codes. Cleaned and put old sensor back in, cleaned idle controll valve and updated codes. Runs great.
Hesitates above 2000 RPM. Replaced fuel pump, relay, fuel pump driver module, spark plugs, fuel rail pressure sensor, could it be the throttle position sensor?
Under the expansion tank on the radiator is the plug for those fans. These cars have issue with melting those plugs. Take the 2 10mm bolts out of expansion tank and move it out of the way to see, no need to take hoses off because its flexible enough to move over. The plugs can be bought from local auto parts store as they have been a very common issue with these cars.
Had torque converter lock up problem , the transmission was change and after that the engine light in dash has been coming on. Have fitted two new Ego sensors $$$$$$ as fault code said it was that area. No one can fix it
Help please !!!!!!!!
Cheers Tim Lucas
Car runs and drives great. Not had any problems till now. The obd port doesn't work. So I can't have the system checked. But I have changed the breaks and abs sensors. And still the same problem.
My BlueDriver claims that both rear wheel speed sensors have wrong part installed. I've read that i need to remove and clean, cross reference part numbers that are etched on them, also check wiring and anything else related to them. I haven't attempted this yet. First, i need to fix the battery drain issue and then emissions issues, then the abs will get its turn.
Was driving and car shut off. Tried plugging in scanner and it had power but wouldn’t communicate. Ecm relay was clicking multiple times. Towed to shop. They replaced fuse box and now it will operate normal most of the time. There is a code for transmission range sensor that’s located internally. Opened up trans and replaced. No change. Car will randomly think it’s in D as soon as you insert the key to start it. Turn key off and on and will usually start. Sometimes have to turn key off and wait for the display to power off and then it will start. Also when shutting engine off it will engage starter for a split second and make contact with fly wheel to abruptly stop the engine.
Never figured it out. Just shut it off in drive and it doesn’t bump the starter and then place it in park and cycle thr ignition before getting out and it will start when get back in
My escape has been shutting down (engine shuts off but battery stays on) and when diagnosed shows cam sensors issue. They have been replaced 3 times with 3 different brands. Even replaced the solenoid switch. Each time after replacing them, it drives great for about 60 miles and then does the big "clunk" and shuts down. My mechanic is at a loss. Previous owner had to take it to the Ford dealership to have the turbo replaced but was told that should be lifetime fix.
I am wondering if this is an ECM problem throwing weird and random codes? And how realistic having the ECM replaced would be in fixing the problem?
I’ve tried replacing the ignition switch, the neutral safety switch, manually putting transmission in park (which it is in park), the shifter cable is in perfect condition, transmission is fine, but the instrument cluster will not read that it is in park, only in drive. I just got a nee cluster and installed it, and it still says it is in drive. I just help.
I just change the torque sensor in the steering wheel did everything right that i saw in a youtube video. Now when i was back out of my drive way i turned the streering left and it pulled left hard by itself almost broke my wrist. It also happens when i steer right.
Headlights flicker when car is running. Checked grounds, they are good. New battery. Alternator is good too.. this is most annoying. Also had the 2 little hoses that connect to the exhaust tube blow off, EGR pressure sensor landed on the exhaust tube and melting it, EGR valve blew a chunk out the side of it, ordered new one of those and rhe EGR solenoid as it too melted and landed on the exhaust tube.. why would this all have happened? Could be clogged up CATS? I did get some Cata-Clean.. will put this all together and see if they blow off again.. just looking for some input, if anyone has any it would be appreciated. Thanks
