When the driver steps on the brakes completely, the ABS stops the wheels from getting blocked, and this allows the driver to keep on maneuvering the car without losing control. Likewise, this also happens when the driver steps on the brakes while on slippery floor. When the ABS is activated, some strong vibrations can be felt in the brake pedal. There is a light on the dashboard that comes on if there is a failure in the system or if it stops working.
Most of the time it's a wheel speed sensor with the abs light. As long as the brake light isn't on with abs then you more than likely have a wheel speed sensor bad very seldom does the abs module cause this problem
