Mines a 2003 Z71 with 5.3l flex fuel 318K miles. It's had a new starter, oil pressure switch, Alternator, Transfer case replaced in last 5 years at 277K miles plus. Last time the starter acted up it was a bad key chip connecton, this presents as a dead or low battery almost every time we go to start it requiring a jump from portable battery jumper.
Unplug the radio and the amp and put the fuses back in, it still pull the battery down , longer I keep the fuse out it ok, and I don't know what else to do.
It was the cluster that was draining the battery you have to unplug the cluster to make sure your draw stop, you just can't just take the fuse, you have to take the cluster out to unplug it, it all tide in with the radio somehow.
Battery draining over night. Put new BCM in still same problem. Please help!! I was pulling 0.35amps on the radio fuse I moved the radio power to a keyed power still same problem
It something else that pulling the battery down, I did change out the cluster it was bad but I let it set for 4 or 5 day it will not crank, and some time it will crank and I go some where or to the store and kill it, it want not start back up. The battery is down and the battery is good I had it check two time , cares it to the shop and they said that the battery is bad and it is not, But I will solves the problem one way or other.
Battery died and had to jumpstart my Tahoe. Now the low beam headlamps won't come on. High beams and fog/driving lights work. Vehicle has been jumpstarted in the past, but never had this issue before.
Having the same problem my low beams won’t come on but everything else works markers. High beams, signals running large dome light, but I can’t get that Logan come on.
Battery died, jump started the car and drove to parts store. Purchased and installed new battery. After installation, low beams stopped working, parking light come on instead. When I switch in and out of auto mode, the parking lights go on and off. When I turn the switch to turn on headlights, the parking lights come on. High beams work fine. I tried changing the low beam relay, but no help. Also, the day before I replaced the battery, the low beams were working fine, both sides.
The odds that both headlamps fail at the same time is astronomical. But that is what happened. The only thing I can think of that might have caused this was the jump start caused a surge that took out the lamps. Replaced both lamps, all is fine now.
So I changed out my pcm with another, tried resetting it. Failed! Swapped ignition switch that matches the pcm swap. Still nothing. Now my battery dies within minutes of attempting to try anything. Any help will be great. I must add if I put my original parts back on it cranks!
