Ford F-150 2002 f150 lariat 4x4 5.4 170000 miles
cruse control will not turn on. I changed the part off the master cylinder, still doesn't work. I keep reading of a fuze link. where is it located?

Found problem, inline fuze was blown, cruse works perfect. Inline fuze was connected to cruse part I replaced on master cylinder.

I have the same problem only I'm not finding an inline fuse. I have already replaced the switch on the master cylinder didnt fix it.

LED third brake light or out / no

Steering wheel switch's come as a set on Amazon and were about $20. Did not fix my problem though...still doesn't enable

The bushing on the shift linkage had a little play in it and it was just by chance I shifted past drive in to 2 nd then moved it back to drive. I got on freeway and I tried my cruise control and it worked. So I intentionally tested my theory and that was it. The cable was then around $150.00 but I found a repair kit for both ends of the cable at Auto Zone for about $20.00 not hard to change at al.
Update: my cruise control NOW works…. After 3 years of chasing the solution! Turned out to be a bad brake pressure switch on the brake master cylinder. It’s the one that cancels cruise control if you touch the brake. The new switch came with an updated harness that is reported to short out. Appears it was a recall long ago.

Check fuses and warning lights. Other thing is to scan the ECU for DTC codes, maybe there's any code stored due to electronic failure.
One thing to do is make sure your emergency brake is completely off. Just had this happen to me . turn out it wasn't.

Neither will mine, it was sudden. I'm in an 06 expedition. Also the pass 3rd row seat motor wont work, or the power point. No blown fuses under the dash.

I solved it the clutch switch wasn’t aligned and also there was some resistance in the brake switch harness from the switch to the connector there should be continuity when the brake is not depressed

Cruise control will not come on. Recall was done. How do you check inline fuse in harness. Had to replace cruise control switch because it was leaking, Would that cause fuse to blow in harness.

Ac fuse blowing, unplug high side pressure switch fuse doesn’t blow, unplug the ac plug also and fuse blows again. Some how someone is gaining access to my door locks and. Not setting off alarm , allowing them to open my hood and do things to my electrical eg. Grounding out my system causing a short blowing fuses cruise stopped abs light came on now engine has misfire but no engine light. I just replaced and programmed the computer now a lot of things aren’t working right

I had suspected that my truck had been being taken and used for illicit activity... and I still can’t figure out why the theft light blinks with no key in the ignition and I use the remote to lock it

Same problem I have replaced everything imcan find nothing helped self test mode light comes on with the off button and no other flashes with any other buttons... Replaced buttons and the same thing happens

Sometimes when it is dark night the cruise control works. Most of the time when I push the on button my horn honks and I know cruise will not work. When the horn doesn’t honk when I push the cruise on switch ,I know the cruise control will work for a while and only might work when it is dark night?

Loose power, winning noise when decelerating , cruise control is non functional when this occurs. Red wrench displayed. After parked and off, the next day it starts and the wrench emblem is gone. Ford garage denies that the problem is captured by the computer memory. I don't believe them. Notorious liars.

Ordered a turbo sensor replacement. Located in front on the intake tube, two silver bolts hold it on the air tube, connector and wiring harness.

I have the same issue on my 08 f150 5.4. spmetimes my speedometer works mostly it doesnt. My radio used to cut out too. Fix?
