Well it all started one day when i went to the store for lunch turned off my truck went in then came back out, went to start my truck the dash came on as normal, then when i went to start it i turned the key and lost all power everything was gone i coulndt even us my remote to lock/unlock. I tried boosting it and nothing you could just hear the starter click. Eventually i got it towed home took out the battery charged it put it back in and it worked. Then it sat over night about 12hrs and the same thing lost all power. I have checked my alternator its good checked the fuses the seem good. But… Read complete

My dome light kept sticking on and that was draining my battery every night.
Check out door switches. If one of them is failing the light keeps on.
Had the same issue. Thought it was a security lockout. Something draining battery. Thought starter. Relays checked out. Came back to life after doing a lockout reset but only lasted a few hrs. Ended up to be a Bad battery, charged but wasn’t putting out enough amps. These Chevys use a lot of power from the battery. Doesn’t take long for them to wear down. Putting a second battery in to support demand. Should just come standard. There is a space for it just now researching what’s needed to complete. Good luck hope this may help.
All of a sudden I’m getting parasitic battery drain. Garage said I had a bad battery, but alternator is good. Replaced it. Gauge said14 v at the garage, 12 hrs later gauge dropped to ~12 v and hasn’t come up to normal range yet.

The coolant temperature opens and closes the thermostat. In this case the thermostat is on the lower suction hose between the engine and radiator. So the cold water in the radiator cools the thermostat and closes it before the water gets to the engine. Leaving the hot water in the engine and cold water keeping the thermostat closed preventing the water circulation. This is even more evident when you get a three row all aluminum radiator. But the time the water actually begins to circulate, its too late. The water in radiator has reached a level of hot and the engine is boiling. Just like the old days when you took the thermostat out and drove a long distance. Its jist keeps heating up.
So has anyone found a solution or an inline thermostat to go in the upper radiator?

So i got an inline thermostat housing and 160 thermostat cut the top radiator hose. Took out the thermostat in factory location. Im steady at 180 all the time now

Thought fuel pump was out replaced with new one come to find out old pump was good, not getting power to fuel pump,. Help.

2014 1500 Silverado. The master power window controls in the drivers door only work for the drivers window. Child lock, door lock and unlock, and driver window works, but window lock doesn't, and neither do any of the other window controls. All the other windows work when controlled by their own controls, but when using the driver door controls, even the OBD II scanner doesn't even detect an input, let alone move the windows. We replaced the controls, only to have the exact same issue. Fuses all seem fine, and there are no codes that come up when scanned. We are truly stumped with this one.

Issue is in the door harness going to bcm pull back rubber boot on door pillar by squeezing the plastic retainer on top half and bottom half to release

Did you end up replacing the door harness or was it just a loose pin. I have the Same issue but when I hit a hard enough bump it all turns on same thing when I hit another, stops working

My alternator worked great until it didn't. It gradually made a noise that sounded like a power steering pump that was empty. And it. Was putting out just over 12V. So I decided to replace it. A trip to O'Reilly's for a refurbished one. I swap it out and it's louder than the old one. But it's putting out around 16V. This doesn't seem right because other guides I've read say that the bearings are going bad when it makes noise. So I go back to O'Reilly's to get another one. Still noisy but quieter. But. Started with my gauges going crazy every light turned on it seemed like. Then limp mode not even accselerate when i pushed on gas paddle. I turned the vehicle off then cranked turned went on our way like nothing. Got to the destination. Went to leave no longer cranked. Connected obd machine. No communication no crank

As I was driving yesterday my cluster gauges randomly started to malfunction. They’d intermittently act like they were resetting, work for a few seconds then repeat. The next day none of the gauges worked but the check engine light and blinker lights worked and I happened to notice that the 4x4 selector buttons all had their lights on and none of them work.
