When the car starts, this light comes on and after a few seconds it should go out. If it is still on, that means that there is a problem with the ABS and, as a preventive measure, the system will be deactivated. The driver will be able to stop the car normally but if the wheels are locked the ABS will not come into action, which is a big risk.
Ok so I have a brake problem when I push the brake pedal it goes to the floor I've bled my brakes numerous times changed the front caliper changed the master cylinder an brake booster grommet and valve made sure brakes fluid is full at all times no leaks brought two different bi directional scanner only to have them not be able to connect to vehicle not sure if it the abs module not working any ideas
Did you ever figure out the problem my guess would be the brake box underneath the truck either that or the short rubber lines that run from calipers up to fitting right behind the tires
Brake light and ABS light on dash will go on for different lengths of time then off and on off and on for no appointment reason? Anyone else have this issue? Better yet has anyone solved it?
Brake fluid is full. Brakes are new brake system is 100%. Turn the key on pumped gas pedal three times started truck ABS light turned off two seconds later came back on. Was told to check the connections, but it hasn’t rained in six months, the truck hasn’t touched water since. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
