Anyone know where I can get e87 118d manual from July 2005 full wiring diagram and e90 323i automatic from August 2006 wiring diagram? Trying to swap the M47 engine into the e90, but there’s some wiring differences I need to make sure of without just joining.
Replaced the bulb (Sylvania H7) & also tried exchanging the working bulb from the right low beam. Didn't fix it. Checked the 4 fuses that control the lights (40, 57, 100, 167). All look good. Still not working. The light bulb wires look like new. Is there a relay used for the lights? Read on Bimmerpost that there isn't one and the lights are controlled by the FEM. Any other suggestions on what to check? Thanks
No, I haven't. No one has come forward with suggestions yet so I'm now going to replace the fuses despite them looking OK and assume there is no relay for the headlights. I'm with you... trying to avoid the dealership if I can. I still am waiting for them to schedule the fix for the recall issued last October.
Brian H7 bulbs are halogen bulbs and do not have a ballast on them... im dealing with this issue myself i've gone through the fuses and they're good testing for voltage at the bulb connection getting nothing so far. Will update to see what i find
The reverse lights will not work when I put the shifter in reverse. Checked the reverse light switch that's good. Getting 12.0 volts from wires going to reverse light switch. Could it be FRM
While driving the radio stopped working. The CD inlet works but the display is black and there is no sound coming from the radio. Later I found out that also the rear parking sensors are not working, but thats probably because i dont hear any sound from the radio. I checked the fusebox behind the glove panel but everything seems fine, no blown fuses. I checked the PDC module in the rear right side of the trunk to check for wiring damages or water/moisture damage, didnt find anything.
I am about to change the radio for a aftermarket carplay system and see what is does.
Does anyone have experience with this or similar issues?
Replace alternator twice, replaced starter, and replaced battery twice. The alternators both of them wasn't giving the battery a charged. Checked all wiring with a test light and can't really figure out the problem
Make sure your battery positive cable is healthy and no corrosion, it might set on fire and its probably the issue causing it not to charge correctly. Its a very common issue on e90/e91
Is your battery positive cable okay? No corrosion or anything else? Its a common problem sometimes even leading to fires. If its 2007 or newer ofcourse, pre-lci 2005-2007/01 are immune to that problem
My screen for idrive. Tried button reset power and radio. Tried all fuses. Disconnected negative for 30 min. Still wont turn on. Radio is stuck on one station. Cant play cds. 2014 320 ix drive n20
Can i check for anything else? lose wires? as soon as i finished getting car inspected it happened. Coincidence?
Same with my car. I was eventually told I had to replace the entire iDrive part, which was quoted at 1k. I swear to you I just bought two JBL mid-sized speakers, put them in the backseat- they link up with JBL's sync technology- and it has been okay to at least have some form of audio while driving. I miss being able to see my TPM and other stats on my screen though
