A/C works well except for the driver-side vent under the main display; the passenger-side vent functions normally, as do the side vents on the dashboard. Rear air also functions normally.
I’ll get this code about every 20,000 miles or so, even after a fresh oil change yet always when I’m on a road trip. I reset it with my ODB2 reader and everything is fine. Do I need to change out the sensor for this or not worry about it, just keep resetting?
After storms carpets are soaked. Mechanic can't pinpoint source of leak. No issue with windows, rooftop or windshield. Drains are flushed to ensure drainage is good but problem is not fixed
1. Check cooling fluid level. 2. If engine is cold, air from the heater will be cold as well until engine warmed up. 3. You have to check servos of the heating unit (it can stay at "cooling" even if knob is on "warm" side).
Check wires at the back door hinges. There is a rubber hose where cable are bending every time you open the back door. Probably there is a short on car body from lights wire.
When problem first started I could wiggle AC/Heater temp control knob. Pulled knob off and tightened nut and solved problem for years. Now it's back to wiggling knob. I believe the rotary switch, behind knob, is wearing out. How difficult is it to access it behind panel?
It uses R-134a but the problem is electrical. When it works it's arctic cold. I guess I should asking how to get behind dash board A/C panel. And suddenly Digital Clock needs a thump on dash. I hate thumping old dash. Something loose back there and rotary switch needs cleaned or replaced.
