Did you engage the water pump with the small pull strap has to be pushed in so the water pump pulley engages to the crank pulley

Less power oil burning the car jerks

Mini Cooper 2007 1.6 120hp 125 miles
The problem started when the check engine light turned on. It was burning oil for the whole time but not much I think maybe lees than now. At first I thought that catalytic system is blocked and I started adding some fluids to gas. But now the coolant started disappearing and the fumes started to smell chemical. When I hit the gas it’s going much slower than before. When I take my foot of the gas slowly it starts to gain speed. So on full gas it’s going slower than on half. When the car has less than 3k revs and I hit gas it’s going like nothing. But when it’s 4k or more it gains speed faster.… Read complete

FRM module will cause this to happen as well as different lights to not work. There is a recall on Mini's (2010 and up) on the FRM module in the driver's side footwell. Eventually you'll have spent 1000's and the car won't start. I too changed my fan, battery, a few other components, and then found the recall. My car didn't even have brake lights from time to time. My rad fan wouldn't shut down, etc. I told mini my car was experiencing issues that involved safety and wouldn't start anymore. They gave me a loaner car and fixed it. Otherwise they will make you wait in an invisible line forever while they order parts for all the recalls brought in. You are having issues, you go first. Let them know.
