Got the van used second user. Original driver was heavy handed on the wheel. The power steering gets stiff and then is not stiff. No power steering noises.
Have had the power steering pump replaced 3 times. It just comes back a few months later. When it happens it is usually when I am going slow into a parking stall.
I have had the rack an pinion replaced. But it still happened a few months after that "fix it " for the stiff steering. Had the power steering fluid pumped out with the proper machine tool.
