Rear Hatch won't open SolvedSolved

Hyundai Santa Fe 2017 3.5L AWD  93000 miles
Rear hatch won't open anymore, possible that it closed in on snow/ice the last time it was open (middle of winter here in Canada). Power open button and remote buttons attempt to open but car just beeps a few times and gives up.

Thank you SO much! This simple and easy troubleshooting tip saved me a trip to the dealer and likely a hefty service charge for diagnostics. Crawling into the trunk was worth the delightful result!

Problem with hatch openning

Hyundai Santa Fe 2018  86000 miles
The car battery died a while back. Ever since then the hatch will not open. I do not have power hatch, just a manual hatch. Fob won't work and the exterior button won't work. Only emergency release works.

My windows, door locks, possessed wipers occasionally (turn on by themself), daytime running lights, instrument panel lights, rear defrost, it happened in the summer too and the a/c was partially out all not working. Then it fixed itself before i could get it diagnosed everything worked. Then Boxing day it happened again so it's still on the blink but it's in the shop right now. Mechanic said it needs an exorcism. And my fob will start the car but panic button and door locks don't work.
