Code 89 always appearing and the radiators fan turn on even i only started and the engine is not yet hot. I replaced my thermostat and the housing also but the code 89 is still there. Please help and comment thanks

I have 2013 sonic I've had my ad in shops looks like. Mud in. Y resvoir love had it flushed about 4 times they said it's not a head gasket you pay 1000 for a car and you still don't have a car so what do you do
I don’t know if it’s just 2012 but I have no temperature gauge. On a car that’s constantly over heating that seems quite intentional and awful for Chevy to do.

I bought a Sonic LTZ 2012 and it leaves a lot to be desired. It has already presented failures in the battery and thermostat. Even more, a terrible noise appeared coming from the suspension, as well as another one on the right side which is just as if something were boiling. I have also encountered problems with the gearbox. It is really frustrating.

Same. I hear some weird noises coming from suspension. But everytime I go to dealership they say its l ok. . . . I believe these guys are idiots.
There's a small square cap you can pop off beside the shifter. Then stick something in there to depress a button that will unlock the shifter. It's there so you can shift our of park in emergencies or maintenance

I had overheating issues for a while know. Replaced the thermostat and housing. Also replaced ignition coils. Bleed the system 3 times and every day I wake up to an empty reservoir.

My Chevrolet sonic still overheats, even though I replaced the radiator, thermostat, engine coolant sensor, thermostat housing. It is still showing error code 89. Can it be that the heater core inside the motor needs to be replaced

There are a few relays. You can just switch around just to see if it works.

Anyone have issues with their sonic jerking around 140000miles? Every time I press the gas to get up to speed it feels like there is little to no power to get up to speed and jerks, no codes or dash warnings are coming up. I'm at a loss. I've already replaced the cooling fan, thermostat, coolant hoses, timing belt, and other odds and ends.
