There is a shaft that comes from the engine and then there is another one that comes out of it and goes to the wheels. Through a set of gears, it moves at different speeds even when the engine moves at just one constant speed, so it takes advantage of the engine's power. They may be manual or automatic.
Often when the truck is first warming up but occasionally when I've been driving for a while, the front end will make a noise like a creak you hear while walking up a set of old barn stairs as I crank the wheels to turn the truck. It is more likely to happen when I make a tighter turn. Is there something that needs to be greased or is it just a sound from something flexing oddly?
Communication errors, U0073, U0101, P0700 plus three other codes. All the dash warning lights go on, once the vehicle gets warmer, shut it off and turn it back on, only service engine light is on, won't shift. Clear/erase the codes, no service engine light on, shifts fine. Put in new battery. The ABS fuse was replaced earlier
