Car wont start and doesnt even sound like its trying to

Mitsubishi Eclipse 2003 2.4L 4 Cyl. automatic 150000 miles
My car has been sitting in my yard for the last 6 months because i bought a new car and didnt need it anymore. I finally decided that i am going to sell it and when i went to start it up it wouldnt start. At first i thought it was the battery because it sat for so long but the battery is fairly new and even after charging it up it still wouldnt start. After that i thought it might be the starter so i removed it and took it to an auto parts store where they tested it and said it was still good. When i turn the key all i hear is a humming sounds but nothing happens. I have no idea what esle to try. If anyone can help me with this problem i would greatly appreciate it.

Im having the same problem except after I tried starting it I heard a clicking noise that persisted even after I removed the keys from my car! So I opened my fuse box under my hood and after pulling 2 grey square shaped things also located in the fusebox (middle&right, both have a horn type symbol on the fuse lid) the clicking stopped but what i don't get is how can they still click when my battery is dead (my assumption) also what are they and are they expensive to fix?

Battery dies after being off for more than a couple hours

Mitsubishi Eclipse 2012 GS Sport (automatic) 150000 miles
Had an alternator issue, got it replaced, then my battery went out, so i got that replaced, then the alternator went out again, so i had them warranty it out and got another one. Car works fine now, alternator is doing its job, but if i turn my car off and let it sit for more than a couple hours it needs jumped. Ive had the battery and charging system checked and everything is good with it, but i cant figure out whats draining my battery when its off
