For the time being there are no new results for my issue with my car but I did find out that it could possibly be the bushing in my gear shifting never which I'm working on right now to see if that's true I will give you more information if this happens to be solution to my problem

HARD/no shifting NO DTC's

Ford Taurus 2001 3.0 L 72000 miles
Had ecm swapped, non compatable ecm installed. Car ran, but would not shift. Had new key programmed to original ECM, car started and ran fine for aprox 2 miles then total loss of power on incline, no shift and eventually had to stop for loss of power and stuck in first gear. My question is... is it possible the PCM or BCM if equipped are not synced to ECM causing no code situation? Loop mode?? Any input on specifics of reprogramming ECM would be met with a high level of appreciation followed by gratitude and strong praise!

So for this problem if I were you I would take off the negative battery post first then take off the positive leave both of them untouching the post put your negative cable wire to your positive came over for 5 to 10 minutes and all memory of your Ford after doing so put the positive cable wire back onto the positive then the negative back onto the negative post put your car into the on position but do not start it count 30 seconds turn it off count 5 seconds then then start your car if your car beeps after starting give it about 5 seconds before it makes a beeping sound your car is successfully restarted it a new memory you will have to retrain your car it's drive mode everything it will be like if you bought a brand new car and no owner has ever been in it before you
