The bulb has 2 lights- one for the brake light and one for the running light. If the running light is working but brake light isn't you most likely have a blown fuse or bad brake light switch

Sounds like the brake light switch above the brake pedal. $30 part at the parts store. Video on TRQ to replace it yourself.
