Skoda Octavia 2016 Sedan 2.0 TDI 151000 miles
Just a few days ago the car went into "safe mode" meaning lost the biggest part of its horsepower and at the same time the preheaters warning lamp was blinking. After a visit to a mechanic he told me that the obd indindicated several malfunctions such as, faulty preheater No 3, EGR valve problem and low turbo pressure. After thinking a lot and after seeing that the EGR valve was in good condition we just replaced the above mentioned preheater. The cost was not low (290 € just for the preheater) but as they mentioned it is a complicated part that includes a pressure sensor that can cause not only malfunctions but can mislead the mechanic to search the problem elsewhere.

Starting failure

When starting the engine, it sometimes happens that it starts on the first try. But there are other times that a kind of hit is heard and the car does not start. It is necessary to try many times closing the switch and, after lots of attempts, it finally starts. When the engine is demanded too much, it suddenly stalls; I then need to wait 5 minutes and it starts again. When scanning it, no error is indicated. Thank you so much to anyone willing to help me.

Good morning, I have a Skoda Octavia 2004 and the engine starts without any problems but the idle speed is not maintained. The car stalls or revolutions raise and drop continuously between 600 and 1000 rpm. Occasionally, it stabilizes but, when you stop it, the failure appears again. I would like to know if I need to change something or what is wrong with my car. Help me please, thanks.

Tengo un Octavia 2004 1.6, tengo el mismo problema del ralenti inestable, ya le cambie el sensor de oxígeno, lo mande sincronizar y nada, ¿Cuál podría, ser la solución?

While driving my Octavia mk1 1.9 tdi, after reaching speeds of 60 km/h and above it starts to misfire with heavy. Jerking. If I drive below that speed it drives normally, and I don't notice any symptoms and i ideal. I already changed the diesel filter and engine mount. The mechanic suggest that it could be an issue with Diesel pump or possible the clutch. I would appreciate some clarification on this.

Very fast drop in coolant

When I drive my Skoda, the coolant drains very quickly. We thought it was the EGR, which was all full of dirt, so we replaced it. At first, it didn't seem to use much, but then it started using a lot again. It doesn't leak, but it uses a lot. Can someone tell me what to do?
