I disconnected power in the engine compartment before removing and replacing the alternator. On reconnecting the power cable to the terminal thre is no power to the dashboard instruments or starter.

The terminal was not properly connected. Working in the dark kept me in the dark!

Hii, first im sorry for my english. So, while i accelerate sometimes at 3k rpm sometimes 4k rpm my car go to limp mode. No check engine light, nothing. Went to dealer shop to get it check and they said it was injectors. So i got it fixed but it still going to the limp mode. Transmission is fine also turbo.
Any ideas?

Hi, I had exactly the same problem on my V70. Limp mode when accelerating at 3-4k rpm, no check engine light, injectors were changed but it continued. Turbo and transmission were also fine. The issue was the MAP sensor (boost pressure sensor) on the turbo. It was sending wrong readings to the ECU, which then put the car into limp mode as protection. After I replaced the MAP sensor the problem was completely gone. It’s a very common fault on these cars and usually cheap to fix. I recommend you check/replace that first. Good luck! 👍

I just got my grandmas old car and it’s a 2006 Volvo xc90 but nothing will work up front when you turn the key on but don’t start it nothing lights up and there is no sound to it. The radio, sunroof, ac and heater the electric seats, mainly everything won’t work up front. It starts and runs fine but I have no speedometer or gas gauge or anything like that.

Volvo XC90 2013 R-Design 116735 miles
Last weekend I changed the rotors, pads and did a complete brake fluid flush on our XC90. During the bleeding process, I need to step on the brake pedal multiple times. Put it to the floor multiple times until we got all the air out, etc. However, after that was complete, the warning light came on saying the ABS / Anti-Skid required maintenance. Is this just a code that needs to be cleared out, or did I somehow mess this up?
