I am having issues with brake light switch not working properly. I have had it changed out on car 2 times and still my brake light switch will stay on all the time until I cut my car off. There are times when it works properly but that's when the car is initially cranked or after it has been sitting all day and cranked to go home. If I press the brake petal, that's when the lights stays on (which is not bad thing, keeps people from riding bumper). I have googled and asked for info but since car is a volkswagen, my mechanic is not keen on foreign models. Has anyone else had issues like this or even a start where to look? I've checked fuses too btw...they are good.

We bought new. After 7 months of ownership, car completely died at stop light. Was able to restart. Happens intermittently. Twice have returned to parked car and completely dead. Now this weekend this happened, started back up after 24 hours just to die again. After 3 minutes it started again. We have taken it to the dealership and they replaced the battery and the control unit after the first 3 times but obviously this didn’t fix it.

I have no tail lights 1 brake light both signals work I’ve checked the bulbs and all appear good

Someone took a fuse out and replaced it but now my cluster lights aren’t working and the rear tail light doesn’t come on either but the brake lights work. I’m trying to find where the fuse is located for it

So my brake lights work but when I turn my taillights on the driver side doesn't work. I've check fuses and replaced bulbs. I even took out the light fixture and plugged it in to the passenger side and it works. I do have a fog light out on the passenger side that I haven't fixed. Could it be that those are connected? Like Christmas lights when one doesn't work it affects the others?

Fault electronic brake light is flashing and making the ding sound

Hi i get abs light esp light power steering light hand brake light and the speed domitor stops working its relly weird because some times it works for days weeks months then boom it starts going crazy for 1 sek and some times it can go for minuts.

My head lights and brake lights are working. I have replaced bulbs, head light switch, and dimmer switch.
