Hello, I’m experiencing a no-start issue with my 2014 Suzuki Swift. The vehicle has no crank, no clicking, and no dashboard illumination, except for the key-not-detected indicator. A diagnostic scan returned DTC B1162. Based on this, the steering lock (ESL / power steering lock) was suspected. We have replaced and programmed three known-good steering lock units, but the fault remains. The steering wheel stays locked and there is no sound or actuation from the steering lock assembly.
