Porsche Boxster 2010 28000 miles
When I pressed the top down switch, there was a very loud popping sound followed by the convertible top motors making a brief grinding noise, and a message saying my top failed. From what I read, it appears to be the plastic ball joints broke.

After watching a number of videos. I've decided to have my independent Porsche mechanic do the repair. I'll follow up with his remedy.

KMW Motor sports in Pompano Beach, FL specializes in all Porsche models and years. They did a great job resolving my convertible top issue (wouldn't go up or down) and explained what they did and showed me the parts they replaced. It definitely wasn't a DIY job that I could have done. I highly recommend them.
