The idiot lights were working and then the all of a sudden they went out and will not come back on. I know that they should for my air pressure is down on my tires
Same issue , screen is black , no Nissian Logo , radio does not work but the front and back camera shows . Changed the fuses even though they were not blown and still nothing.
@EliborI fixed the issue!!! 2018 nissan pathfinder sl display control unit!!!
After trying fuses and relays, I went to the dealership paid $201.85 for a diagnostic test, (for nothing a waste of money) they said it was the display control unit, and also I needed to change filters. Which I’ve done myself with filters from auto zone way cheaper than Nissan prices. To replace the DISPLAY CONTROL UNIT at the dealership it would cost around $5,000 US dollars. They tried to get me to trade my car in which I was not doing because it’s finally paid in full. So I left tried reaching out to local shops and mechanics. No one was able to fix the issue. So I went on YouTube and trained myself on how to remove the display screen. Then I went on EBay and found the exact display information screen for my make and model. (2018 Nissan Pathfinder SL ) it arrived in like two days with Fed Ex. I paid $178.50 plus taxes $191 TOTAL & free shipping. My fiancé and I installed it today and THANK GOD IT WORKS!!!! Took us less than 2hrs.
I’m in AUSTRALIA and I just changed my radio head for one with the same numbers and still unit won’t start. After 30 minutes of driving it comes on and all works. I’m thinking a relay not contacting properly but does not match up with why.
I have a 2013 Pathfinder, Screen show static, but backup camera works. I purchased an identical used unit with the same results. I took the original one apart but could not find an sd card. I am baffled,
The first problem that appeared was the the check engine light remains turned on. The error code suggests that there is a fuel leakage. The smoke machine was connected but nothing could be detected. I've changed the fuel lid but the check engine light is still on. The other problem that it has is power loss: when I am driving along an uphill road, the car won't go over 20 mph. If I remove the gear and put it neutral then the acceleration problem disappears. An error code has appeared suggesting that there is a valve failing but my mechanic said that was not the cause. It's been a year that I'm driving with these two inconvenients, can someone help me please?
Why don't you visit another mechanic and see what he suggests? It happened to me and, after visiting four different experts, the last found the cause of the problem and it was nothing too huge or expensive that needed to be repaired.
HI There, I have the same problem with my Nissan Pathfinder my mechanic said that the exhaust gas regulator value was very badly clogged up with carbon dioxide deposits. He found that problem the second time I complained that the engine light was on and on occasions power loss when accelerating. If I stopped and turned off the car then started it again the power came back.
“It started with the battery light coming on. I replaced the battery and the alternator. Now the battery light no longer comes on, but all the other dashboard lights do, and the problem still persists. While driving, I lose power: the RPMs go up but the vehicle won’t accelerate. Multiple systems stop working (radio, A/C, power steering, etc.). If I turn the vehicle off for 30 minutes or more, the issue goes away, but it returns sporadically. Sometimes after restarting, the dashboard lights are off but it still won’t accelerate. ”
Cannot get an electric brake controller to recognize when my 7-pin trailer plug is connected to the 7-pin receptacle on the vehicle. Trailer wiring is okay. Brake controller has also been checked. Brake controller gets power when connected to the factory-installed harness under the dashboard, but there’s no power to pin #7 at the back of the vehicle. There’s no continuity between the wire for the trailer brake under the dash and pin #7 at the rear. Nissan is unable to assist.
It turns over but won't start. The lights on the dash that always light up just before you start your car are dim-lit for a few seconds and then I hear a sort of click sound and then I can get it to start to crank. It will only crank for a few seconds then I hear a click under the dash and it stops cranking the engine over until I wait a few seconds again. Oh and some of the dash lights are bright but some stay dim.
I've been having trouble with my car's digital fuel marker and the needle, which are two different systems to check and know when fuel needs to be added. The problem is that they do not correspond to one another, for example: the needle says 1/4 tank is full and the digital marker (which supposedly informs how much fuel is left in term of miles) says 30 miles. After adding some fuel to the car, the needle reacher 1/2 of the tank and the marker only raised 5 miles. Something is wrong with my car and I don't know what.
