Kia Soul 2014 2.0 4cyl automaticThe best:I bought this car used 2 years ago..I've never changed the brakes..or had to add any water..I'm always late for my services..and have already put on 85,000 hard miles on it..and lived in it homeless with 4 big dogs..that have destroyed my interior..somebody attempted to steal it..and busted out my ignition switch..that was a easy fix..then during an attempted car jacking I hit another car causing the air bags to go off..despite major body damage..my car is still running at top speed to my surprise!!does great in the snow tooThe worst:My dogs were able to bust out the windows easily..and the front and back bumper clips broke pretty easily..and are now zip tied on..the headlights need to be brighter
Kia Soul 2013 1.6The best:I love my little ugly Soul car. 5 stars for that. Its been very dependable. Its short coming are a result of the company that manufactured it. The first time I saw one online I knew I would buy one. I have a base model. Manual transmission was a must have for me. You might be thinking she is nuts. Control is a key element in drining for me. Down shifting, if you understand how too, priceless. I have a class A drivers license, I hate automatic transmission periodThe worst:Stupid stupid KIA. No spare tire? Stupid me for not looking. I do not know if no spare would have been a deal breaker, the red paint was a must have also. I can promise you dealership would have heard about it, trust me. In fact they still do. My local KIA is where I take RED (nickname of car) for most service issues.
My other "not happy item" is fender liners. They suck period. I could go on here, but if you own a older soul beat you, I do not need too.
The recall list has me shaking my head some. However at least they appear to step up on problems.
KIA could in fact do themselves some good if they had a communication line to hear us here in the USA. Maybe.
I will NOT buy a new Soul. NOPE
No more manual base model? No more me.

Kia Soul 2013 hatchbackThe best:this is a wonderful car. I bought it with 80000 on it and had to put $800 in it initially. I've had no issues with it in the last 25000 miles :) great mileage (25mpg even in town sometimes!)The worst:I honestly have no complaints with this car.
