There is a loud clicking sound when I engage the brakes for stopping. Took it to a mechanic who is very good and they could nit diagnose the issue. The noise sounds like metal hitting metal

The bolts on brake caliper that hold your pads some time need grease and tighten , check them good luck

Almost the same here, but I can hear the noise under the transmissoin knob
