They are used to measure the air pressure, the temperature, the speed, the liquid level, the characteristics of the exhaust smoke, etc. They are connected to the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) and they provide the information needed to improve the engine's performance.
My Honda Ridgeline throws up the check engine light for ECT sensor 2 saying the voltage is high. All wiring looks good and I’ve had the sensor replaced, but the problem still persists. Also note that the ECT sensor for the 2010 Ridgeline is just 1 and not 2. What else can I do to have this resolved.
