Why is my exhaust so red hot every time I start the car

Engine management light keeps coming on. When engine is cold and i start the engine the car coughs and splutters, pops and bangs at the exhaust. You have to hold revs for approx 30 seconds then. It runs reasonably fine. Pressure at the rail before starting is 4.5 bar

Hi, I have a problem with the car, I would like to explain in case you would have some advice because I don't know what to do anymore. I recently changed the engine (overhauled to new) and finished the break-in. Before I changed the engine I had already done a stage2 map, very quiet in terms of output due to the fact that it is an automatic (n18).
